Wow, alot of Mustang hate here on a car forum. To me, they look better, sound better, handle better, and cost less.

For example, tires are important, are the Mustang drivers in spectator drags cheap on tires? Then there is the driver element. I've had one incident with a 2015+ Mustang GT where two lanes went down to one lane on the entrance ramp of a left turn from a stop light. Despite my Jaguar being at a power/weight disadvantage, and I also was on the outside lane, I had the guy enough to pull in front before my lane ended. I did hear his tires squeal perhaps a bit too much on launch, maybe he over did it. Maybe I'm a better driver, maybe I had better tires. I was surprised by the result. Spectator drags seem to routinely see such upsets as my own experience. There are just some significant unknown factors that do not make it an even comparison of the cars themselves. |

I’ll seriously consider a GT350 on the used market once they get a little cheaper, they are incredible cars that sound amazing.

I bought a 2016 Mustang because it was the best bang for the buck. And with the independent rear suspension, it handles very well. I think a lot of the drivers who get into to trouble with them simply don't understand car handling and/or power application. They are in the same price range as front wheel drive cars that simply understeer when in trouble. They are in the same price range as Miatas and BRZs/86s that don't have the horsepower to induce massive oversteer. They are probably the first and only car most drivers encounter where you can steer with the throttle or break the drive wheels loose at highway speeds. I personally am VERY sensitive to wheel spin and try to avoid it at all costs.
