Really nice work on the fence there, Ted.
Curious the thickness of your pickets and what you used for fasteners - just for the pickets.
Also - those posts don't look like 4x4's. Am I missing something?

Thanks, we used 8 foot galvanized steel fence posts.
So a plank is use to cover the steel posts.
The planks are 1"x8" dog eared Cedar planks.
Galvanized wood screws to hold it together.
Honey color stain and a row of rocks to slow the critters from digging under. :)

I've made 3 bead seats for 3 different race car seats.
By far my favorite seat.
Not sure I'd want to fly in turbulence in a firm bead seat.
Also the bead seat is only going to perfectly fit one person.
Mine only cost a few hundred bucks.

I bought a walking foot upholstery machine so I wouldn't have to do upholstery...:D

If I were you I'd roll my own.

Thanks RS,

Ive actually been looking around for a used WF machine. However, not knowing my arse from a hole in the ground, I’m kinda at a disadvantage in knowing what is good, bad and ugly. I reached out to a small mum n pop shop in the Midwest that sells affordable aviation multi density seat-foam. What I need plus shipping, I’ll be looking at $700.00. Then add the covers and I’ll be in it neck deep. Still hopefuls though….

Very cool updates on your fantastic work on da planes. Feel free to update the “All Things Aviation Related” thread too[emoji6]

In true homage to the best of the best procrastinators, I am working on re-organizing the old tools into the new tool box. Rather than bustin out the demo hammer and continuing working on the block wall.

I did decide to use my new cool wizbang threaded nut in-sert/blind nut tool and install a couple anchor points at the bottom of the large roller cabinet. I had to do this since the side cabinet wasn’t designed to hang on the one I picked up and is for the “much” larger schtuff I don’t have room or $$ for.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...ae8910de3a.jpg

When my FIL installed the now rotten piece of oak in the hay wagon 40 years ago, he referred to it as "the Longworth". It ties the front and rear axles together, which is kind of nice when you're trying to get a load of hay out of the field. This spring I saw a crack right through it and realized I had another project. A metal shop bent four pieces of 3/16 steel into "L" profiles six feet long and I tried to remember how to weld. Eventually I created the 1 1/2 × 5 1/2" 12 foot abomination you see in the foreground. Next step is to remove the wooden scrap and install the shiny new creation. Not today.

Yard guys mower threw up a rock or hickory nut and broke the glass in the back door at the cabin. We thought we would just replace the glass, but the glass, which is tempered, is glued into the plastic/vinyl window frame so the whole thing gets replaced. Mom got the window and my son and I replaced it this morning when we had a break in the severe weather that was in the area. Easy peasy. Remove the screws on the inside frame, and the outside frame separates, use a utility knife to score the edge where the frame makes contact with the door, then remove the outer frame with the rest of the glass. Clean up the area and remove what is left of the window frame sealant and reinstall new frame and blind kit. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...c61f3e5454.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...9e722fc1fe.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...e0e2a208e8.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...d9ceb0c9d9.jpg

I rotated the tires and installed front and rear brake pads on my 2014 F150. Probably took 1.5 hours.

I was going to do more work, but the heat got to me

Got the steel on the north roof of the house. Did it over two days. 16 foot lengths. Got the staging broken down and returned to the BIL. I am not used to working like that. Today is for recovering.

Yesterday I helped a friend run wire to outlets and canned lighting in a room above their garage that they are turning into a guest suite complete with own bathroom.
Today I removed the spare tire from under the RX350 and checked the air pressure and it was low so I aired it up, put it all back and reset the TPMS in the vehicle and the light in the instrument cluster is now off, yay!!!
Next up, I changed all the mismatched lugnuts on the same vehicle, some were the original 21mm but several were 22mm which the lug wrench would not fit. I replaced all of them. The next thing I did today was on the same vehicle I shampooed the carpet and I pressure washed the floor mats. Only a few more things to do with this vehicle and I will have it all sorted finally. I lowered the H2O and oil temperature gauge cluster, then installed a wide angle mirror in the 330.

I noticed after installing the roll bar and adjusting the seat as best I could, I could not tilt my head back enough wearing my helmet to look up at the gauges. Hopefully this works better.
