Tell me more - I’ve never heard of a battery powered auger.

yeah its all stainless. Its hard to work with i had to heat it up to get it not to spring back. the round part is a pot lid so its alot thinner than the rest. Its all just spot welded on the back with regular mig wire. I ended up doing the engine turning to avoid polishing it. It had flaws that i didnt want to deal with where the weld burnt through. i did the engine turning with a cut down brown roloc disk i think it turned out awesome

I used one exactly like it last weekend, it didn't work for me, but would have if I didn't have a weird clean out where it turns a hard 90. Nifty little auger though. Has forward, reverse and neutral to feed the cable in/out automatically or by hand, also will rotate the cable clockwise/counterclockwise with out feeding/retracting. I think the length was 50ft, 18V.

Working on the wife’s 2006 BMW 1 Series again. The valve cover gasket was leaking, so I replaced it and tossed in a new set of plugs.

I installed the euro style rear reflector with the fog lights. I did not change the switch, as I figured that if I had the front fogs on why not the rear. So I just wired the rear fogs to the original switch.

Love that big ol' LED on the music stand. As I get old and then even older, sufficient lighting for the task is the difference between joy and hate when I'm out in the garage.....

Wife's Prius gen 2 (2006) started making crazy buzzing/whining sounds from the stereo.
She takes to mechanic, they say amplifier is bad and refer her to a car stereo shop. Stereo shop quotes her $800 to replace the stereo, says its deep in the dash. I locate the amplifier under the front passenger seat, unplug wires from amplifier, sounds stop. Buy a used Prius amplifier off eBay for $67. Remove six screws, pull out old amplifier, install "new" one, all is fixed. Man, some shops will rip people off if they get a chance.

I've been watching them and waiting for my halogen lights to burn out. I hate the big heavy, hot halogens.

afterburn. It's a model # CPH122007 from Lowes. Cost was $999. I looked into them some time ago and this looked like a good choice for the size and construction, plus it was cheaper compared to most others. My neighbor bought one and erected it and vouched for the design and construction, so I ended up doing one also. It's 12 ft. wide X 20 ft. X 8 ft. high. You need two people to put up the verticals and two people really helps putting on the roof. The main problem with the roof is aligning the panels, because if you don't get the center ones straight, the misalignment gets magnified as you go on. It was easy to put up. I bought concrete piers (10 @ 90 lb. each) for the base, but it comes with steel cable anchors.

It's been a busy week so far.
Replaced a door bell button that randomly set off the door bell on its own. AND I got the Speedster back on the ground after brake/axle seal work that started in November! ![]()

Bus Bars
I am Always making Bus Bars. Retired Bus Freak/owner 64' 21 window w a 2332 IRS Dual Italian 44's w a stock look.
These keep me very busy, I sell them to privates, restaurants and catering services-, but despite the heartache making them, when finished they are great. I even install a VW horn-in the back is 4 turn table shelves and a freezer / fridge. Natural stone tops and NO FIBERGLASS is used. ![]() |
