IDK, she's young. I think those are OEM. Too bad she has no idea on how to change a tire. The tire she finally got over the lip of the rim was destroyed.
Retire? If you mean how many times I have come home, taken all my tools off the truck and said, "No more," then a few. Now, retired as a carpenter. Not retired if there's any money laying around. |

I retired from my job as aerospace engineer at age 38. Retired 30 years later from my “job” as a serial entrepreneur.
As I watched the video of the Asian full service garage I wondered if “full service “ included a happy ending.

Well, been working on that for the last 20 yrs, I tell people I am retired but have nothing else to do so I show up at this office and take care of people.
This yr, I am getting serious about actually leaving the office for good but we shall see. I know the problem is with my brain, it is wired to not go very long without money coming in and when I walk out of this office money will still be coming in just not on a daily basis. Expenses will drop for sure but living in the good ol' USA is not cheap and of course we have no inflation.

3 so far, and there'll be no more. When it's time, it's time and you'll know it.

Get off my lawn!
|
My old boss joined the Army Air Corps during WW2 ans worked as a pilot instructor for C-47s. One day the orders came down to switch to a blue uniform and discard the old ones. He switched to the reserves, and was still an C-47 instructor during the Korean war. He retired from that when he started at the CAA and later it changed to the FAA. He had a 3 digit FAA ID number. He started a company "on the side" doing aerial photography in 1947. He retired from the FAA when the politics got too heavy. He took "early retirement" from the company at age 92 and sold it to another company. He just loved to fly. Once a pilot turns 90, commercial insurance is impossible to get at any price. Since he could only fly for fun, he retired. He took his last flight as PIC on his 92nd birthday. Never one emergency or crash or even a damaged aircraft.
He lived to age 99. Dropped dead from an heart attach at home in his upstairs bedroom. No lingering stay in an old folks home or hospital. My goal is to retire at age 93.

Retired once then got really bored............went back to work! Now semi-retired working three days a week, which is perfect. The beauty of that is, you can still take your social security and Medicare. The only draw back is that the perks are limited, but then, who cares?!
