Don't know your wife to offer advice there. I could tell/show my wife, and she would laugh about it.
Agree on "don't know the wife" part........

If this was happening to me, I would be more concerned what my wife would do to the flirty broad, than what she would do to me.......

Not exactly apples to apples but the point is - do you want your mommy to bail you out - or can you handle it yourself - like a real man.

You married guys - do whatever you need to.

I'm just giving my opinion and advice - as someone with his balls still intact!

balls well intact here. and your advice is the worst kind I could ever imagine giving to any married man.

It is SOOOOOO bad, I am not even going to list the reasons why, because the effort is wasted on you.

Fred, I see your little green light is on, so you are online:

If you did not tell your wife, best of luck. If you did, update.

This is so easy, so simple; the blocking and tackling of marriage: If you can't manage this, good luck on the pass plays.

Good luck, Fred.

My wife said that you should not threaten to tell the psycho's husband, threaten to tell your wife. If she doesn't stop, then tell your wife.

If you threaten her with "I'll tell your husband" then she may go to her husband and make up a story that makes you look bad. You don't want to be the second person with a story.

My wife just had another excellent thought that is a good reason to not threaten the psycho.

If you threaten, "I'm going to tell ____" and then the psycho goes and tells her husband something to try to circumvent any issues and your wife is the last person to find out, you wife may be REALLY pissed that she's the last to know and had to find out because the SHTF, not because you told her first.

Checked with the boss............ she said tell the wife.

Only Fred can decide, based on his knowledge of his wife.......

I would tell my wife, once the flirting got past the point of "very subtle".

I would have told my wife after receiving the very first text from that woman. No private “friendly social” text from a married woman to a married man is appropriate.

Sounds like you should have, too (and looks like your wife also would agree). You can now see why.

Because by keeping it a secret, you put all the risk of the secret on yourself, with nothing for you to gain.

You took all the risk, for zero possible reward.

You free yourself from all risk by disclosing the very first text, and all those thereafter.

If you are all honest with yourselves, this would be a very uncomfortable conversation to have with your wife. I am not looking forward to it .

I read, she is amazing in the sack.

Anyone else?

You know the matrix.

Just to resonate, yuge mistake keeping this from the wife.

I would have told mine the moment it happened. Keeping it from her makes me look bad and makes it 10X worse.

YMMV

THIS^

Never give someone leverage over you.
Neutralize it immediately as soon as it begins.
Rip off the bandaid! (OR - maybe at this point your in too deep and it means amputation starting at the neck...if so Im not sure that to advise in that case so tread carefully until you figure it out)

Also, If you truly are afraid to tell your wife for fear of her reaction, as a secondary tangent to this thread, you may want to read the book "Stop walking on eggshells" and then start a thread on THAT!

Hell, I'm going to go start one right now!

I would not listen to the advice of other folk's wives. They all think they are normal, sane and would react appropriately. Some of them would put antifreeze in their husband's dinner.

It seems to me that what this woman told you was confidential...as are often matter of the heart. You said she and her family are friends. You should not be telling anyone without warning her away and giving her the opportunity to stop this behavior. Not your wife, the police or her husband. Maybe she is just going through a phase/midlife crisis and will realize the err of her ways. If you tell everyone, you better be ready to no longer be friends with her, her husband, or her family.

It doesn't matter what the facts are; Ms. Fred will be upset that you replied at all. Yeah, maybe it's not fair, but that's the facts. And she's gonna need to read the whole text thread, start to finish. Good thing you know how to erase individual texts.

She would be livid and it ain't worth it to tell her.

Terminate with extreme prejudice, however, diplomatically. There is probably a way to let her down easy.

Biff all the texts. They are not important. There is no way you did not respond with something incriminating.

The stalker is bored and is looking for some excitement. Suspect this can happen to most anybody.

On the upside, I did have an old timer ask me today if I knew how to bust nuts on big truck wheels. Remembering your recent pic, I laid it all out like I was a boss.
