That hit on Oshi was bad, he was completely defenseless.

I really thought Vegas was going to close out the series last night but they got hammered . The Canes/Caps game had a lot of pace some really good hockey being played .

I don't know which is worse. Losing with 15 seconds left in regulation after leading two nothing or losing in overtime after leading two nothing.....

There sure seems to be some kind weird schidt going down with teams taking 2 goal leads going into the 3rd period.
Talk about a dramatic & heartbreaking loss. That's hockey - or so I'm led to believe. The Flames are too good
to lose this one tonight - unless the 'hockey gods' are really bent on screwing the Western Canadian teams.

On the 2nd (tying) goal they explained that it was a combination of the Jets player shoving the Blues player into the net and the other Blues player shooting the puck a split second before the net was dislodged resulting in a good goal. Basically that it was Winnipeg's fault the net was dislodged and the Blues would have scored either way.

I fully expected it to be disallowed but was thrilled when it counted.

Flames had no answers to the Avs size and speed. They are a young club and the young guys were unprepared for playoff refereeing. They needed to be able to look after themselves out there but were not able to do that.
The top two lines were not producing and the Avs did a great job of shutting them down.
Goaltending was certainly not Calgary's issue as Smith had seen more pucks than any other goaltender. Says something about their commitment to defense and inability to shut down the Av's forwards.
Next year country again....

How about the top team in each confernence getting knocked out in the first round? I don't remember that ever happening before.

This seems to be the year that almost every team you expect to advance is getting knocked out... Again, there are some bookies now taking anxiety meds

Honestly not impressed with Boston or the the Leafs. I don't think either team was good last night.

Canes/ Caps has been some high quality hockey. The islanders will have their hands full whichever team moves on.

I will say the Islanders and Blue Jackets come out of the East. I won't speculate on the West because I don't know it as well.

The old "goal tender interference" thing sure figured in the mix yesterday.
These playoffs - so far - have been a challenge for the odds-maker's fraternity.
I guess I am a Jets fan now.

Yeah I was shocked they didn't take back the goal.

I didn't want to pull "a Crosby" and cry about it though.

Even the TV folks (who are generally impartial) said this one needs to be taken back. I guess Toronto saw it through Maple Leaf glasses!

Dallas made Nashville look like a high school team ! Blues are peppering Jets goalie he's keeping them in the game . Good stuff

Man that was a great first 2 periods by the Blues. Hoping they've got another 20 minutes of that in them. :)

Much as I wish it weren't so & had hoped for a different result, the Blues were
the better team - by a substantial margin & full value for the win.
Looks like St. Loo vs Dallas. Should be interesting as both teams seem to be on a roll.

How about Vegas & Colorado - that one may be a track meet.
However with an eye to the foregoing thoughts, my forecast/prediction
record to this point, has been absolutely abysmal.

Go Leafs & Go Vegas - I may just have jinxed both teams.

Today we finally saw the Bruins that were 2nd in the East and had a point in every game for 19 games streak.
That, and history of game 7s with Toronto gives me hope. Tuesday will tell.
