Tesla is worth the equal of the entire rest of the automotive market, combined? Seriously?

I think I'll put in a sell order at $1584.
that's twice what I paid a couple months ago, no sense getting greedy
I'll prolly put one in a stop-loss at $1250 too, just in case the world comes to it's senses all of the sudden.

Actually, buying his shorts would probably have been a good move (they are sold out now??) Buy a bunch for $69.42 each, sell on ebay for a lot more.

Edit: don't believe everything you read on the internet. They do not appear to be sold out.

Yes, IFF they take over the auto and energy sectors entirely.

But, No...

Okay so with everyone posting these reality checks about market cap, units sold and profitability, I assume everyone is pretty short here, right?

I have just six shares. Bought two at $200, another 2 at $400 and the last two were ill timed ($900) but it just seems to keep climbing. I’m not a big investor obviously but it’s been an interesting stock to follow.

I have been short it in the past on a couple of occasions but not anytime in 2020. Good candidate now.

Main issue, don't know how...

But the market CAP of many of these "tech" companies are crazy. I know that Tesla is involved in many things other than cars. Solar City is a liability, not an asset.

How much would it cost to short $1M of Tesla? I read somewhere it is 0.3% of the value of the borrowed stock. But then you can't believe everything you read on the internet...

Salesforce is the odd one in that list as they actually have IP and are B2B, their business model isn't as easy to copy as the other 3.

Uber.. well Lyft is already a copy of Uber.
Nothing in their business model is unique.. and essentially they already copied the regular taxibusiness and deregulised it for the most part.

Spotify is just another Itunes..

Same with those like Just Eat, Deliveroo.. they offer nothing that cannot be replaced if the restaurants would just agree to cooperate at regional level and organize themselves instead of subjecting to deliveroo or justeat

You have to buy one of their cars. That’s the dividend.

You'd think so, but no. I kilt the limit order over the weekend, and sold this morning on a market order.
From 780 sumthin to $1732 in a couple months?
Better to be lucky than good.

NOW is the time to short this pig.

EDIT: bought at $792, not 780 sumthin.
Just fer accuracy.
