It's butter weather. You can leave butter out in a dish and stop by and snack on some now and again. Kate's sea salted is my current favorite. Makes me so happy.

And powder coating remover. That really makes me happy.

For you, John:

Probably has been posted before, but it makes me happy.

This one may be better:

One thing I saw recently that made me happy:

A few roads in my hometown have strict speed limit enforcement. They are roads lined with houses, and one road is 25 MPH speed limit for a mile. There are houses, three different schools, churches, and one lane each way, with a left tun lane in the middle. I was poking along at 25 MPH and some kid in a noisy Honda with a fart can exhaust came flying up behind me. He waited a few seconds, and passed in a double yellow at easily 45 MPH, just as it turned into a school zone. The cops were just sitting there waiting for him. He was nabbed, and he was getting a very expensive ticket and lots of points on his license. As I drove past I looked at him and smiled with happy thoughts.

There are usually kids, and people walking dogs and people puling out of many cross streets. 25 MPH makes perfect sense there.

A couple of things that make me happy right now. The occasional birdie on the golf course plus my grand daughter hamming it up. She is good at making faces at a year old.

I love and envy people who can see the bright side.... Sadly I am the guy who always finds the missing tile in my life.

Thankfully I have a daughter that is my cosmic opposite and brings that light smashing into my life everyday.

I do from time to time just open the door on my 82SC to hear and feel the click.

2 "vacation" days spent at home cutting/splitting/stacking firewood for the upcoming season....it's kind of theraputic to see the pile of logs diminish, while the pile of split to size pieces grows. Start stacking it all, and it gives a true sense of accomplishment. A sunny 70* day doesn't hurt either.

It makes me happy if the women are happy with what they have! Today we helped put on the 71st Ocean Beach Kite Festival (oldest continuous one in the country) and it was nice and warm sooooooo the shorts and halter tops were in abundance with their one or two little children being amazed at out giant kites. I didn't know so many people could walk around with their phone camera going without hitting each other!

Hard to not be happy when greeted by the “guard dog”.

Love the puppy pics! Having a dog is one of the best things goin' in life!

This probably doesn't fit the OP's thread concept, but today I received in the mail some STP stickers that I ordered.

These are old school and IMHO the best design out there. I use to put these on my surfboards until I ran out about 10 years ago.

They are the only decal I've ever put on my boards - so in that context - very special, for me anyway.

Woohoo......

My son brings his dog to work every day, Dr. Gonzo is our official office dog. He chills out under my desk all day, whenever the day sucks I just sit back and look down. I have this staring back at me and it always puts me in a better mood.

Some mornings i'm lazy and hit the Starbucks drive thru. Roll the back window down and my Golden Pepper says "Hello" when we get to the window. She has also started saying "Good Morning" as well. Has gotten to where the person working the speaker says hello to Pepper and Pepper says hello back before I drive around. All the staff come to the window while they are gettin my drink to tell Pepper hello and have her say hello back. Makes my day and seems to make theirs as well.

Camping in my own back yard with my daughter, and her fiance and their camper, along with our friends who are also bringing their camper.

3 campers, no other traffic, long holiday weekend, lots of beer, and laughter, good food, and card playing, shooting at our gun range out back, and big bonfire to be burnt.

The other night at the Bistro, after a couple of tables of six to twelve people had left and the place had quieted , the folks who were left started asking for requests. We went from Cat Stevens to Gordon Lightfoot to Stealer's Wheel to The Eagles. It reminded me of why I play and sing.

Best

Years ago I was photographing a wedding and it was a very expensive shindig. The had a live String Quartet playing the typical wedding music. They took a break and sat down next to me and they were discussing the next set they were going to play. They said the party was starting to ramp up from the two open bars so they wanted to step it up some with requests. So when they went back up to play they asked for requests. The groom yelled out Freebird, freebird, freebird! Everyone laughed and they started in playing Freebird. Later someone asked for The Devil Went down to Georgia and the killed it. They took another break and said that was a blast. It was the only wedding reception I ever stuck around to shoot the reception that long.
