Why Don't I Stay Logged In?

Anyone notice they don't stay logged in on websites as long?

What I mean in, I used to be able to log in to a website (a news site or blog, let's say) while checking the "remember me" box, and I'd be able to visit that site over and over without having to log back in.

Now it seems I'm frequently having to log in again. Like the cookie got stale and crumbled.

It isn't consistent. I can visit PPOT over and over, and never have to log in again.

This is irritating because who can remember all their passwords? I use a password manager and Apple has one too, that's the only reason this situation works for me.

What's going on?

Years ago....Pelican servers would "reboot"/reset at 6:30 est every day. It sucked to be typing at the end of a Tabbyish extended novel post....a brilliant one too..awe crap .

Got moved to 3 ish.....

Then the fault-tollerant, stuff apoeared....you could stay logged on here for months....

I stay logged in more now on a phone....here or not, but I usally post, then logoff...unless interrupted....old habits .

Gone now.....

I haven't logged in for months. Perhaps a security setting in your browser? Or operating system clearing History or Cookies?

I'm using chrome as a reference.

whats a fix?

Happens on PP in both Win7&10.
Firefox with noscript because I wasn't able to even see webpages due to multiple layers of pop-ups.
