In some good news, maybe Gulf back on board with McLaren?

Shouldn't there be some mid season BOP adjustment to slow down the Mercedes cars. F1 has really become a monotonous parade for the German powerhouse team. This season will need a full page of footnotes after the final standings are posted. DP

akkkkk! Not those letters, ever. I get that F1 is mostly dull at the point. But BOP is a hornets nest of reducing racing to pure entertainment. At least in a spec series everyone has the same stuff, BOP is an artificial joke.

BOP is when you get caught breaking the rules. Complaints from another team seems to be the primary way that process starts.

So Perez is out of at least one (possibly both) british GPs due to testing positive to Covid on a second test (first was inconclusive). Too bad it wasn't Hamilton, might have made for a fun race...
Not that I blame Lewis, F1's been like that a lot of years, if you took out the #1 driver int he past 20y, F1 would be damn close ! Last edited by Deschodt; 07-30-2020 at 12:07 PM.. |

This is very cool, I'm really warming to Norris, last race he helped his mechanics strip down and pack the car up. Kudos to McLaren for letting him do it

The rumor was accurate Hulkenberg got the call . He passed the Covid test and 15 minutes before first practice got in the car and was 9th fastest . Not bad considering the situation . I hope he has a clean qualifying and race .

Looks like everyone has jacked up their rears for Silverstone.
What's up with that ? Also they are all using smaller brake packages, which I understand. Bill k

Agreed. That's why it'll be interesting to see how he does. He'll have a lot less seat time in the car than Stroll, but it'll be interesting nonetheless.
George Russell is another that would have been interesting. IIRC he was at an end-of-season test in a Mercedes, and put in a top-3 time. So he's definitely got skills beyond what the Williams will let him show.

Hah. I was wondering what the problem was. The article I read just said he complained of discomfort from the seat and had to come in after 22 laps.
