Funny, the sponsors are paying top dollar or pound or whatever for the surface area on those overalls. Wonder how they feel about it? Stupid question, since they would never object... I was also thinking during the piece on Michael Schumacher about him directing the music while the Italian anthem was being played while he was on the podium after a win. Word was the Italian government stepped in and said "basta" (asked him to knock it off) as it was not appropriate. Hmmm....................... how times have changed

I think sports of all types provide an escape from the daily rigors of life for most fans. Politics should be kept away from the track events. Supposedly the FIA is having a look into Hamilton’s actions.

I am not sure why you would buy a team at the top of their game when the team principal and #1 driver are looking for new challenges in 2022. They can only go down from there.

Also, it's very easy to criticize anyone or anything. Even a 10 year old can do it. It makes a small minded person feel important... or smart... or that they're doing something of consequence. Good luck with that. Virtue signalling is the most transparent idiocy in today's pop culture. Hammy sucks. Very good driver but loses my respect when he takes his helmet off and his main concern is all that girly primping he does.

You noticed that too. Over the last couple of seasons when he was getting hair plugs you could tell he was very self conscious about his hair. He would try to either turn his back or go into a garage to take off his balaclava and then put the ladies underpants on his head.

Great driver, even bigger doosh. i had little respect for him before after he cried like a little girl over global warming (his team burns millions of gallons a year in vehicles and airplanes but that's different, because it puts millions of $$$ in his pocket) and then he condemned us all because we .... oh the horror ..... EAT MEAT! Now this latest hey whatabout me stunt. He's a punk but he cries and acts surprised when he's called out as one. Maybe they need to hire THREE 24/7 handlers to remind him to keep his mouth shut instead of just two.

I’ve been a formula one fan for a long time thanks to Rob Walker and Road & Track. Saw Cevert win Watkins Glen and Jackie Stewart’s great win at the Nurburgring. I will no longer watch or attend any races. I’m sick and tired of the politicizing of sports. I’m also tired of Hamilton.

The most pathetic part is that he somehow manage to pusch all the other white dudes into it too. Well apart from Kimi and perhaps a couple of more guys that actually have a spine.

Looks like the little turd’s going to get away with it, the powers that be have decided not to reprimand him for his nonsense. Seems to me to be in violation of their own rules, I guess those don’t matter.

It is a total no win situation for the powers that be. If they enforce the rules well, it becomes that thing we can't talk about in OT. I don't want this thread moved to PARF.

Had Hamilton or another driver protested for something you believed in, you would be screaming free speech... Now that I have chimed in, can we delete the last 10 posts and get back to racing? I am liking the more compact season with some new tracks. I hope Mugello can stay on the calendar maybe as an alternate track like the NFL hands out Super Bowls.

As for the race.....Strong drives by Albon and Riccairdo. Bonehead move by the back of the pack in jumping the restart and trashing several cars.

Amen x2 Back to racing. With the exception of the ESPN tape that cut my race off with 5 to go, I enjoyed the track. Good racing, good second tier racing. Let's have more of this. Thinking FIA should revisit when they turn off the safety car lights based on the track layout. Mugello with its long straight is set for second to draft by first. Seems HAM handled the first restart much better than BOT

Ah but they don't protest. Been watching since early to mid 90s when it finally got on TV. Never seen one protest until now. Unless of course if you consider the US GP at Indy in 2005 a protest. In that case I didn't appreciate the boycott since I had traveled to Indy and paid for a ticket.

I wish there were just one place that we could go to escape. Just one.

Wish this thread would go back to being an F1 racing sports thread as I'm starting to lose interest in this thread

^^^^^^^ me too. You would have thought the teams would have gone though scenarios such as restarts at a new track especially so the restart smash up would not happen.
