One of the local hotels here in Oklahoma City caters to the visiting NBA players when they come to play the OKC Thunder. The hotel is upscale of course, and has one floor where the beds are all custom extra long beds. That floor can be "secured" when the teams are in town to keep fans off of that floor. I am sure most cities with the teams have a similar hotel that caters to professional athletes.

One of my friends has been married for nearly 50 years. His wife loves Irish Wolfhounds. It is like having a couple of horses in the house. The dogs can put their nose on the kitchen sink drain with all four feet on the floor. They average 200 pounds. When they went looking for a new bed they got an Alaska King, and asked the store it it was reinforced to handle 4 adults. They got strange looks, but it was easier than explaining the have 400 pounds of dogs in bed with them.
