Touching your face...

I do all the time...can't help it. Sometimes my eyes "water", particularly if a bit chilly or windy....I wear shades a lot when it's not bright outside due to this. Sneezing....tree pollen, yep...wipe nose.

Not to mention boogers

I've had a stye in my left eye for 3 weeks, unpossible not to touch my face. Add oak pollen, which gives me fits, and I might as well bury my face in my hands and move my fingers to peek out to see what is going on.

Same here. Not touching your face is a fairly difficult task. Plus, boogers.

As the comedian Gallagher once pointed out God in his infinite wisdom gave us a tool set on our hands.

Pinky fits the ear hole
Index fits the nose hole
Ring finger for the wedding
Middle for the divorce

Seriously, I think touching ones face is seems involuntary often. Our response to it is voluntary. If you get an itch what do you do? Respond to it. Facial hair is affected by air movement and humidity. A hair can go from straight to a curl with humidity. We feel it and respond to it. A muscle twitch,an eyelid flutter. Perspiration effects feeling in the facial skin. Our body responds.

On the humorous side........

The simple thing to do, keep a beer or glass of wine in each hand all the time!

I didn’t realize how often I touch my face until this whole thing came about. My nose itches a lot more than I realized.

Strangely my eyes have improved. Not red sore and tired. I used to sit there in the evenings watching TV rubbing my eyes because there were sore. But now that it's no longer fashionable to rub your eyes they have some right. All my life, I think, I've had itchy eyes. Umm. it does rather make sense after the event.

I don't find it difficult to not touch my face but I'm pretty much wipey in hand wherever I go. I had an itch earlier and just toughed it out. They come and they go. What do you do when you're in the dentist's chair, stop them so you can fokking scratch?
