These are the types of threads you get, when people are stuck at home with too much time on their hands..........and can now focus on annoying minutia.

(I guess...like I just did)

This is a reply to comments up above.
Sale Price posts.
Now what if someone is asking $5,000 for something and it sells for $3000. the $5000 is so far off what the actual sale price was that it makes no sense that the next guy thinks his same type of part / item could be worth $5,000.
I do agree that if someone is selling a Taillight for $300. and it sells lower but down side is not thousands.
Do not get me wrong I agree it is a big help to see whats sold and what asking prices are.
Should the seller maybe put up the price the Item or items sold for ?

Yes, that would be helpful.
I don't understand why people feel the need to be so secretive about the sale prices... like it's some sort of privacy issue.

README explains the reason.

Asking prices tend to track pricing trends in any marketplace.

**READ ME BEFORE YOU POST** Guidelines for Posting in This Forum - updated 9/28/2017
- Use the search engine to compare pricing and availability of an item. None of the previous ads are deleted, so you have access to a vast group of listings that you can use to track pricing trends, and availability.

I understand your perspective on $5k vs $3k. But I tend to think that people selling something at that price typically have to lower the price a few times to eventually settle on selling it for $3k? Or to your point, maybe the initial asking price was way off base. Do we need to start posting the price at which the part sold? Probably not.

I’ve got some expensive stuff (a reconditioned crankshaft, some CP pistons and a WEVO clutch) I’ve been trying to sell and it seems this stuff just doesn’t interest many people anymore or the price point just takes time for the right people to come along? I dunno. I would think with the value of these cars skyrocketing, more people would be willing to throw down $1k and more to buy this stuff.

This one made me LOL. Well said Chris because I think the same thing! Virtual fist bump!

Bizarre... I mother F every time I see the price removed. It makes no sense. Even if the seller sold it for less you can leave it so we have a general idea.

So if you are one of the JO's that removes the price, yes I may very well have cursed you. :
I’ve seen some people delete the entire description and pictures. So it leaves NOTHING to reference. Totally don’t understand why people do that.
