What cars would you never own ?

I've got a few in my no fly zone. Mostly the ones, that I see breaking the bank of their owners on a regular basis .
Gimme your top 3 , no way, now how . You would ride a pink huffy to work first kind of cars .

I don't know that much about the latest cars. Just based on desirability:

Corvette
No more BMWs
No more Mercedes

Well, "never" is not something to throw around lightly, and seems like it's a way to ask for trouble.

Cars that I feel like I'm pretty unlikely to own - Hyundai, kia, Yugo

Yeah, I've come to the conclusion that I'm pretty unlikely to own a BMW. It seems like the quality control just isn't there. I hear stories about people having BMW that are trouble free. I also hear other stories, and have since the 80s.

I think my wife would like a Z4 though, so I didn't include it.

I thought Mercedes would be better, but I've heard some anti-merc chatter here on the board.

Corvette, I think, would be a hoot, and I thought was pretty darn good these days.

We think alike on the car thing. Ive owned three Vettes before I got my Cayman. Much fun in those Vettes.

Flood cars.
Cars without a title (or has a salvage title)
Cars sold by someone who works on them but looks for cheap and unsafe ways to fix an electrical system on a rental house or people who brag about buying stuff at a fraction of the value because the seller had no idea what it was worth. (disclaimer: not speaking about a particular person).

Honda Crosstour - butt ugly
Cadillac Escalade - too much bling
Current Model Mercedes - way too much bling, prefer 15 years or older
Fiat 500 - reminds me of when I wanted a vespa until I saw guy with my build riding one, got a BMW RNineT instead.

Yuck!

Anything FWD. I don't care how good the car is otherwise. It's a non-starter.

Just about the best list yet

Flood car
no-title salvage title
ex-rental car (or just about any car previously owned by an idiot teen which is almost as bad )

If there was a mic, I'd probably drop it and walk off.

There are no cars i wouldnt take for free but 99% of cars I wouldnt buy on purpose. Does that make sense? The newest car i paid money for was my 82 911 and the newest car iv owned that wasnt a flip was an 89 240sx (got for free) . I dont care to own a modern vehicle of any sort. I wouldnt want to work on it or deal with the complexity or cost just to drive a comfortable plastic blob

I have actually had pretty good luck with Mercedes. And I love driving them. There is something about the solid clunk of a Mercedes door closing that I love.

I've always have a very negative opinion of Dodge/Chrysler products. Perhaps unwarranted in their modern cars, but the quality just seems low.

I would never own a Range Rover, unless it was a pristine earlier model. The horror stories I have heard from friends....dear lord. Constantly at the dealership.

And they are indeed like driving a bank vault.

But who wants to drive a bank vault?

Hence, BMW...

Pretty much anything that has the word Dodge or Chrysler in it. Then there's the Pontiac Aztec. Nope wouldn't EVER own one even if it was the last vehicle on this planet and Kate Upton called wanting to make sweet sweet love to me.

FWIW, I have no problem owning a salvage title car as long as I can see pics of the damage before repairs were done. My parts runner is a 2008 Ford TaurusX that was totaled with 35000 miles on it. It now has over 160,000 and I've put brakes, struts, tires, spark plugs and oil changes in it and that's pretty much it.

Anything that required I drive it off a dealers lot, new.
Any post 2005-6ish BMW
Unfortunately, any Audi with over 100k-I love the cars, but they are money pits as they age unless you know they've been meticulously cared for, and even then its roulette.

Cars? Yes.

Bikes, food, women and opera, no!

Can’t do FWD. just can’t. No pickups and nothing with a blingy interior like most of the Japanese ones (particularly Nissan) seem to have.

Not real crazy about Chevy or Chrysler either personally but I’d consider if I had to.

1. Anything made in Korea or China.

2. BMW - They've always been overrated.

3. Any "Japanese car" not made in Japan.
