right on.

i only drop in here from time to time being a regular in the MPF barrel of monkeys, but im aware cliff is highly regarded here and for good reason. i have been fortunate enough to know him IRL and can say 1st hand he is one of the most genuine, willing to lend a hand, shirt off his back guys ive ever known. when i was building my spec911 he made at least 4-5 trips down to my house to help out with projects and work on it making the hour drive in bay area traffic each way. viva vash!

i know he won't have such high praise for me cause im kinda a douche...

now get out there and keeps those kids off your lawn, Rod...

Thank you! First thing I though when I saw the title, saved me from making the snarky post myself!

Sunrun britebox and Tesla power wall are not the best systems for this application. They are VERY limited in their storage and inverter output.

That said, the best thing would be to cycle the power on the batteries once grid power is restored.

Our systems have a minimum of 8kW inverters and 22 kWh of storage. In Houston, this will power a typical house for 4 hours alone. With the solar panels, usually about 8 hours. And once the batteries are depleted, a 20 kW generator comes on to recharge the batteries.

Installed in most homes in California, the above times will be double.
