What is the collectives thoughts on Urban Meyer being considered for the Jacksonville Jaguars head coaching job ? I am guessing he has enough $$$ for several lifetimes , he has known health issues so why leave a cushy commentator job for the high stress of rebuilding a NFL team on the national stage ? Is it simply ego ? Of course at this time it is just rumors but supposedly behind the scenes he is building a staffing list .

There are rumors/speculation that Myers wants to work with Trevor out of Clemson . Assuming they draft him that is a good building block to start with . But is it worth all the mental and physical stress ? What do you guys think ?

Urban is a smart guy. I say no way he goes into the NFL. There's a long list of "great" college head coaches that tried and failed in the NFL. Pete Carrol might be the only one I can think of that tried, failed, went back to college, got another shot in the NFL, and won this time around. I think dealing with the salary cap and a lot of the other things that are involved with the NFL game is just too much for college coaches. Plus, he doesn't need the money or the headaches (see what I did there?)

Sounds like a 13 year old boy in Home Room trying to entertain the class. :D

During Fox’s broadcast, rules analyst and former NFL vice president of officiating Dean Blandino couldn’t find much justification for the call and said, “To me this just looks like a tackle and that’s a follow through. And that’s a big, big penalty in this situation.”

And none other than Cousins admitted to Walker that he didn’t see much of a foul, either.

“I said to the player who tackled me, `I don’t necessarily agree with that call, but I’ll take it,’” Cousins told reporters.
Sounds like only the ref making the call Adrian Hill saw this as a penalty.

I'd be checking for bank transfers to his bank account from Las Vegas right about now if I were in authority. ;)

And this is why the Lions cannot win, even when they can win.

Detroit Lions robbed by one of the worst calls ever in game vs. Minnesota Vikings

I’m not exaggerating when I say it was one of the worst calls I’ve seen while watching football, at any level, over my lifetime. I didn’t have a problem with the lack of a face-guarding call on Anthony Hitchens in the playoff loss at Dallas. And I could even understand how the refs could make a case for the complete-the-process-of-the-catch call against Calvin Johnson................

But this? There seemed to be no evidence to indicate Tracy Walker did anything but tackle Kirk Cousins for a fourth-down stop.

Detroit Lions' loss to end this strange, pathetic season actually feels like a win

By losing this game, the Lions improved their draft stock — and more than anything, this team needs more talent. On defense. On offense. Everywhere.

Bills looked good.
Congrats!

Hopefully my Steelers get a rematch with them!

How was that not a penalty against the Seahawks for the hit to the Ram's QB? It sent the QB to the hospital.

I am not an LA fan, but the calls need to be consistent.

The refs this year have been terrible across the board.

Because they are in Seattle, the Squawks are league darlings, and Wolford is a rookie. And its not like he accidentally hit the helmet either; it was the tacklers target.

I need 14 points for ten dollah.

That's more than fair.

I agree Paul, Carrol is such a bum.

Glad to see the Ram's kicking the crap out of them.

I didn't realize that Alex Smith was out for Washington due to his calf. Too bad. I was really hoping he would play well. He deserves good things after his leg injury and near catastrophe from infection after the surgery to repair his leg.

Overall I was happy with all three games yesterday . Yeah there was some questionable calls but the refs are not perfect . I was surprised the Seahawks played so poorly . I felt bad for Rivers and the Colts and Brady still has fuel in his tank . I hope today's games are good/close .

I hope the Steelers run all over the Browns. They did it in their first meeting and played them pretty close in the second with many of their starters watching from the sidelines.

My friend in Cleveland saying only a miracle can save his coachless (covid) Browns...so he's praying while being happy they made it this far.

Awe man! That's not how I want the Steelers to win. There's no joy in defeating a team that isn't at full strength.

There were some good games yesterday.
Sure glad I could watch since that's about all I can do these days.

Bad blood between the Bears and Saints.
Gotta hurt when you punch a face guard!

WPOZZZ 01-10-2021 03:52 PM

My cable box decided to reset when the Saints got to the 40. Still waiting.
