That Luger is nice. They may not be the greatest of guns but that example is a dandy.

The original link is NOT for long spoons. It is for fully automatic machine spoons, aka mixers. It is also for short shaft long spoons, forks and ladles. Again, the original link is for the NFA registry which is only for very special guns, at the federal level. The CBS reporter who made this report/list, many years ago, obviously knows nothing about firearms. That link has been posted a couple of times on this site.

Interesting. There are way less guns per capita than I thought. Also 3.3 per 1,000 for New York, and 195.7 per 1,000 for Wyoming, a big difference!

Basically machine guns. Strange that the District of Columbia comes out on top. I’m guessing it’s for all the security guards they use to keep the rabble away.

NICS background checks are on pace to total close to 40 million in 2020. I dunno how many come back unapproved, 10% maybe? I'd be surprised if it's that high, but let's say 36 million approved transactions. What proportion are transfers of new vs. used/resale spoons? One-third? One-quarter? Let's say 25%, so 9 million transfers of new spoons in 2020. 2020 is a big year for spoon purchases; so -- being very conservative -- maybe 5-6 million new spoons are sold in a 'normal' or typical year. So over the last 20 years we've added ~100 million new spoons in the U.S. Seems about right to me . . . .

I had a 20 ga SKB over/under and a 20 ga Browning A5. Gave them to my niece who was shooting a 20 ga for trap and quail. I never used them I currently have 2 Browning A5. A 1969 Sweet 16, and a 1968 12 ga. Also, a 20 ga Remington 1100 and an Ithaca Featherlight 12 ga. None are registered. Last edited by Sooner or later; 10-17-2020 at 11:16 AM..

I got rid of 2 A5's - 20 and 12 had 'em for years and I know the bluff back is supposed to help out with your eyeballin'... but nothing can match the beauty of the over & under ALSO.. you should only need 2 shots - choked up and wide - if you NEED FIVE you suck

When a dozen dove are coming in with the wind at 50+ mph and go into evasive action then 50 shells might not be enough. Three shots per bird taken is a pretty good avg.

Those who understand the 2nd Amendment are/were already well armed. Those who their light-bulb in their knoggin went from off to on suddenly went "ut-o" and figured they needed something for self protection, but likely still do not fully understand 2A.
