Here's a clip of that Final Jeopardy round: https://www.newsweek.com/heres-final-jeopardy-answer-that-ended-amy-schneiders-40-game-winning-streak-1673395

Amy didn't seem too upset about losing. She had more of a complacent smile instead, and didn't even venture a guess at the Final Jeopardy answer. The new champ, Rhone, was absolutely beside himself when he won...like he could hardly believe what just happened.

It does seem like the perfect time to end it..if wanted.
Yes, a nice round number of 40 wins, almost $1.4M in winnings, and the #2 spot in the record books for most games won. A nice way to go out.

She'll have to adjust her clue selection strategy if she goes up against the likes of Brad Rutter, James Holzhauer or Matt Amodio in a tournament match. Starting out by picking all the low-dollar clues won't cut it against players like that. I always wondered why she didn't start at the bottom of the board like other big winners have done...she certainly had the smarts to make that kind of aggressive play work for her.

^^^ Thanks.
Now I'm not sure at all....during the 30 seconds she had to write her answer in, she looks like she is stumped. She puts her pen on the screen and looks off to the side...just as one would do if thinking.
And then again...maybe she just did a good job of looking that way.

Maybe she just figured that enough is enough. Hard to believe that she wouldn't have known the answer to that Final Jeopardy clue was "Bangladesh"...

The fact she bet hard enough to lose if she was wrong, when she clearly could have avoided that, makes me wonder if she just wasn't done with the show.

He had over half of her amount. If she was wrong and he was right...she loses, no matter the bet. (assuming he bet to win)

JackDidley 01-27-2022 03:04 PM

Today sort of sucked. Just normal smart people in the game.

Smart lady. Odd that she call herself a "home maker".

And she bets big . $24k on final today, I think.

stevej37 03-29-2022 04:20 PM

In the last couple days, she has known the question for a couple sports answers that I thought only a guy would get. Surprised me. She may have a good run.

gordner 03-30-2022 09:57 AM

She is very sharp, and loved that final jeopardy bet.

stevej37 03-31-2022 12:33 PM

She keeps rolling along...very smart gal.
