I'm now ready to embrace some conspiracy theory about this shortage. I've seen the vids about manufacturers running 24/7 and the millions of new owners but come on man...how can every caliber still be out of stock. 30-06 no got, 5.56 no got, 9mm no got.....

I'm told they are using most of their resources to produce the most popular rounds: 9mm. .380 ACP has always been more expensive due to lower demand. Other sizes? dunno. I am seeing a little more ammo on shelves now. Just at higher prices.

I was in a LGS dropping off my fan and fan housing to get them cerakoted. I noticed they had a good selection of 9mm. I asked what their price was.... $40 for a box of 50 Blazer Brass FMJ. I considered asking the guy if he'd take boxes of ammo as payment for the coating job. It only would have cost me 150 rounds at his prices. I'm a big fan of capitalism but DAMN there's no way the ammo I bought just 4 weeks ago for $15/box has gone up that much in price. That store will never sell me a gun.

5 boxes of Federal 9mm "Punch" PD/HP arrived. 20 rounds for $17.99/box, +shipping and tax. $107.

Not bad.

Once had several Remington ammo misfires in one day at the range, while CCI and Fiochi had none.

I've been hitting the reloading pretty hard the last few months. So far, the "shortage" hasn't affected my shooting much. The key is to stock up when the stuff is plentiful!

I paid $17.99, plus shipping and Tax. Limit was 5 at the time. Biggest issue, took a 16 days to get here.

I needed some HP since most of mine is getting old. $107 for 100 rounds of Personal Defense HP from a name brand. I'd say not a bad deal when FMJ is running over $1 per round!

I think that's a good price James! It's funny how the personal defense stuff hasn't really gone up much in price from when I started looking at ammo back in August but the FMJ has absolutely skyrocketed.

Rural King in Van Wert. I check whenever I'm in the store to see if they got anything in. They had a BUNCH of 22lr but I don't own one.

I need to be careful with Hollow Point here in PRNJ. The law says you can have it at home buuuut then again maybe not.
