I'm helping teach some ASE certification courses, and the students are part of the local county judicial probational program...kids who have made a bad decision and want to clean themselves up. We were given 2 Dodge Charger cop cars as a donation, and we have been running a multi-course project to turn them into SLABS.
The trunk was Phase 1...2 12 inch SKAR bass in a box, black velvet and red vinyl trim, LED lights with Arduino controller in a box, with 2 outside speakers in the bumper and 2 more in the box, with an infinity mirror LED setup. It's actually pretty wicked, it bumps HARD...the project is "Used to be 5.0, now it's rolling low"

I'm making sure that they learn the right way to terminate wires and such, no half assing things here.

That looks good! Teaching 'em to do it right...

I've cut down my subs over the years- Used to have 4x12" and almost 1000w of Soundstream in an acura- back in the day.

Now I'm just down to 1 sub. Gettin old, I guess.

I click the link for more info, X-Raided fit right into the OG Ice-T era, and the date reflects that. I will have to find that on vinyl, I am a big fan of that sound.

400W of LED backlit marine speakers in the bumper. Oh...almost forgot...a full remote pop trunk that actually locks and unlocks, and the actuators are completely hidden, none of this bullcrap of sticking them right in the middle of the trunk.

That's gonna be a killer. Post pics when it's done.

LOL, back in the day motorized racks displaying thousands of watts in those old AB amplifiers. Most cost as much as the car they were installed in.

To this day I still have a huge collection of old school gear, especially old MB Quart. I got all the very tip top stuff.

It's also a VERY SMALL sidestep from rap to get to various other things...

And a few more steps to the side...

We have a small liquor store close to our house. I don't go in much, as I only drink beer. At the start of the pandemic hand sanitizer was impossible to find. I tried the liquor store to see if they had Everclear or 151 Rum. No luck.

There was just one employee in there, some 20 something white kid and he was listening to rap and it was just surreal to be in a store and the only words I could hear in the rap "song" were profanities, and nigga nigga nigga and ho. The rest was just mumbles to my ears. I left empty handed. I had to crank up some ZZ Top in my car to clean out my ears. Something with clear lyrics, like Ten Foot pole.

I was at this Seattle Symphony performance, and when the woman in the black dress took over the lyrics (around 3:20) the whole place lost their damned minds. Music is a universal language.
