after a tough day at work, I can either hit up a bar at Happy hour or..
slip out off the office and go fishing.
I had 1.5 hours before dinner time. sunscreen, and go. I didnt even change out of my work clothing. just put on waterrproof boots. two rods only. I moved my kayak with nascar pit crew precision and speed. ![]() rough two days. A buddy got fired!! ouch. nice guy, didn't deserve it. I should have brought a beer in a beer cuzy!! (how do you even spell Cuzy,,Cozy?). ![]() oh well. at least I feel better. stress alleviated.

If vash smells like fish, the wife may think he went to a strip bar.

What kinda bait is vash using. He must be a master baiter to go fishing and end up catching.

What is that jaw clamp thingy? Do you keep the fish in the water next to the kayak? Looks cruel.
Not that fishing isn't cruel unless you intend to eat fish for dinner. I used to fish with my grandfather who also hunted. I never hunted and he did prefer fishing. The worst part was killing the fish so they didn't jump out of the creel. When he died and I was very young, I quit. Still have my 1950's rod and reel plus the creel with worm can and the works. He was really into it. I was a pre teen. |

I only use hooks with the barb removed & release 'em. Nothing wrong with keeping a few to eat though. I just grab 'em by the lip, no need for gadgets, and it sorta makes 'em calm down and quit wiggling .... even whoppers. No harm done ...

The clamp thing allows me time to put crap away and get my camera. It’s made fir the tournament guys where they need to get their measurement tools out. I have line everywhere, my net is half floating, etc.
You can let the fish chill out next to kayak. It doesn’t pinch down completely. It only pinches down tight enough to hold that lip bone. A business card would slip in and out. It’s much safer than even a live well. IMHO.

I finally bought a clamp and it’s so much nicer and less impact on the fish than fumbling it around the boat while I try to get the damn hook out. Wish I’d have bought one years ago. 🤣

Yes, best smallmouth fishing in AR is on Cripple Creek, up near Flippin, AR. Home of Ranger Boats. Small stream great for Kayaks.
