The second time I've watched this happen during an NBA game.

Tom Brady told us just now that this is a real shot, but he doesn’t consider it a hole-in-one, because they put the ball in the middle of the fairway in a created tee box on a par four. Still calls it a “once in a lifetime shot.” https://t.co/POQnufLR2q

My mom was a nurse for a GP Dr when I was a kid. I never had it done to me that I remember, but she's told me about the hot needle. From what I've heard, there's no real reason for the orderlies. It's not supposed to hurt and should only provide relief.

The reason is fear. Fear is an incredible source of fuel for adrenaline.

My daughter is deathly afraid of needles. As a 5-year-old, she had a mishap that required stitches on the underside of her chin. The blood and wound didn't bother her (no crying--tough kid), but the second she saw the needle that was going to numb her chin for the stitches, she went into full panic mode. Took me (220+ pounds) and a nurse to hold her down so doc could do his nasty work.

I've never felt so horrible in my life, seriously. The look she gave me and the crying she was doing made me feel as if I truly was harming her.

Man weather predictions have been so far off lately that they've exceeded their 50% error rate. For the past two weeks they've been forecasting severe thunderstorms, hail, damaging wing and cyclical wind. We've gotten some rain and that's all. I realize that it's not exact and doom and gloom sells but jeez.

This week my wife volunteered as a chaperone for our grand daughter's class trip to the zoo. At one point she and one of the mothers were sitting on a bench and my wife remarked, "Well, here we are on the Group W bench. " the mom gave her a blank look.
"You know: Alice's Restaurant?" Still the blank look.
She sings,"You can get anything you want at Alice's Restaurant. " Nothing.
Then my wife remembered this lady was younger than our son.
Sigh.

Mr Bibendum, ("The Michelin Man") who was created in 1898, is white because pneumatic tires were white or beige until about 1912 or so when carbon was mixed into the rubber compound to provide strength and increase longevity.

American folk singer Arlo Guthrie wrote and performed "Alice's Restaurant" in the mid '60s. It is a rambling story about arrest for littering and subsequent ineligiblity for the draft. A protest song.
My son had a buddy who could recite the whole thing, while I played the guitar accompaniment.
Look it up have a listen and watch for the reference to the "Group W Bench".

Classic.

That is a funny song. Classic rock stations usually play it on Thanksgiving.

That reminded me of the scene in Big Wednesday at the Army induction center with Gary Busey's character putting on a crazy persona to avoid service.

I wonder why that car he is riding in has mismatched tires, or "tyres"?
Maybe those were the tread patterns that Michelin offered at the time?

I noticed the same, and think that's exactly why it's like that.

^ that is incredible! I wonder how many more cold cases can be solved by connecting the DNA to groups of relatives- genealogy tracking. Takes hard work, and CeCe Moore is a story herself:
