Yep, after a few more rich paying customers go up, no one will care at all. Apollo was canceled because the public lost interest in manned flights to the moon. No one will care when some rich group we don't know at all go up.

This hold must feel like torture to them. They don't have the luxury of peeing into a spacesuit diaper. Or maybe they do IDK.

I'd be more impressed if he had sex in space.

Or on earth.

The flight is only a couple of minutes and at his age .. well... maybe that's all he needs. And, Audrey Powers is a nice looking lady.

I guess my thought was the guy deserves a legit space mission with some sort of research to be performed. Perhaps it's not possible at his age but would be much, much cooler.

For those interested in this sort of thing, as I am, there is pretty good documentary on Netflix about the first multi-day mission into space with an all civilian crew (Space X). I almost didn't watch at first because I thought it was going to be centered around Elon Musk, but he's hardly featured at all. Instead, it provides a real in-depth look at the preparations and technology required to go into space. I was particularly impressed (and surprised) at just how young (and obviously brilliant) the entire support team was! When I was their age I was barely a functioning adult. Anyway, I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Yeah at 90 this is almost certainly as close as he will ever get.

IMHO the soft landing of the booster is most remarkable.

West Texas sure is dusty.

Hadn't seen that before, nearly **** myself watching it. Would've sworn it was a sci fi movie and not real.

Overall great to see someone who means so much to fans of sci fi get to do this, just wish it could've been more.

Will say the broadcast commentary was a little creepy. Not sure why Fox people couldn't be allowed to do it.
