Well the beige isn't ugly, perse
but it's a problem with sun reflection... Porsche actually got class action sued over that.

When I was looking for mine, i was really hoping to find one in carmon red.
it's close to the maraschino red of my old 944S.

Unfortunately only one for sale in EU at the time, and it looked ratty.

second choise was blue. but again, the only one i found, i did drive it.. it was ratty
unloved by po.. beige interior, and lots of chips on the plastic (beige with black spots in it)

As much as I had loved a color, the arctic silver , tho very common, it works well with the lines of the car.

most colored ones also have the beige dash, which imho is no good for driving, for the reflection in the windshield
The Carmon red i think is probably one of the rarest colors out there. but the prettiest I think

The rest must have gone to somewhere else? LOL
I think greeeeeeen would be just great!
Dang secondhand buyers anyeways...
I'm game for interesting colors, but I would not write off any color if the right car came along. I'd probably be far less excited about pink. I might actually pass on a pink car unless it was really amazing or a deal so good that you couldn't pass up. Chocolate brown would also be low on the list, but I would own a chocolate brown car if it was a great car. I could go with green, black, blue, silver, gray, white, red, yellow, purple, etc.... Black looks great, but it's hot enough here that I try to avoid it (although my first Porsche was a black targa and my first miata was black). White is really boring, but if it was the right car... At least it wouldn't be hot like a black car!

I like tan leather interiors. I would not like beige though, I think. But I'm not sure which you're talking about.

This is what I'd call beige

these are what I'd call tan

Well the red cayman pic you quoted from my post
That dash
Looks beige like your beige

So not sure where the confusion lies?

Never seen tan interior dash on a cayman

My 2013 Cayenne has a Luxor Beige interior, including dash. Very easy to live with. My newer Cayenne is an all black interior and I miss the Beige.

Worse interior I had on a Porsche was a '99 996 with Savannah Beige. Off color that was really difficult to match, and the longer I had it, the more I grew to dislike it.

I looked at several Cayman's with the Sand Beige interior. Really liked it a lot but ended up with black.

I would never want a light colored interior. Black would have been my first choice, but I ended up getting a slate grey interior. Now that I have it, I really like it. Best of all, it hides paw prints, dog hair, and dog snot from by two mutts.

Since it's a pic of the exterior and you specifically mentioned the "carmon" red (I think that should be carmine), I wasn't completely sure if you were also talking about that car's interior. Also, we can barely see it, and from what I see, with the harsh sun, it could be tan or beige. But then I don't know how your monitor is calibrated to know for sure what you see. And since beige and tan are fairly closely related, I think it's also possible that two different people could draw the line between the two colors in a very different place.

I don't know if I've seen a tan interior on a cayman either, but then I haven't seen them all when you consider how many are out there.

I'll get off your lawn now.

Wow, what a total twat. You should either contact the dealership or PCNA to let them know. I suspect that being a twat to customers would get someone's attention and result in a "re-education."

A normal person with focus on customer service would certainly have said something like, "the COA no longer exists, but there is a new version called CTC."

Just saying "no such thing as COA" and holding firm is very twatty.

I got my middy for a steal, because the engine is a 50000 mile "grenade". Of course, it had 178K miles on it when I bought it....

It would be nice to know the name of the dealership and salesperson. We would all know to avoid them in the future.

if you Cayman lovers have a flavorit place to look for one, do let me know.
Perhaps I am being picky..
I would like to find one with some good options including Limited slip.
No silver or gray.
No sand beige
No Tiptronic .

thanx

limited slip may be a problem as it wasn't offered in the 987.1
I think 987.2 has it tho

also sand beige, was probably used on the majority of non silver cars
blue or red are very often the tan/beige interior.. Don't ask me why, but they often are..
probably to do with , once they pick the $$$$ non standard color, they'll also pick the $$$ non standard interior..

I'de recommend looking for the best mechanical car with a clean black interior, and good exterior condition, in whatever the color.
If it happens to be a silver one, and it checks all other boxes.. get it cause you'll probably never find one that has it all

sounds like a 987.2 Cayman "S" or "R" will do the trick.

I found a 2007 Macan S with 32,000 miles on Cars.com for $34K.
