Funky message when clicking on bookmark to PPOT
I was able to get here somehow by going to pelicanparts.com first, but when I click on the PPOT bookmark, I get this:
____________________ Warning: Potential Security Risk Ahead Firefox detected an issue and did not continue to forums.pelicanparts.com. The website is either misconfigured or your computer clock is set to the wrong time. It’s likely the website’s certificate is expired, which prevents Firefox from connecting securely. If you visit this site, attackers could try to steal information like your passwords, emails, or credit card details. What can you do about it? The issue is most likely with the website, and there is nothing you can do to resolve it. You can notify the website’s administrator about the problem. ------------------ Anyone have any guidance as to what is going on? I looked for a way to email it to PP, but couldn't find one.

I got one of those warnings this morning too.
No problems now. I think it was a cert problem on their end.

This isn't a secure website, nor should it be. No certificates, etc. Clear out all your caches, histories and delete cookies, etc.
Good luck! |

It has been that way for a long time. My address bar has a small triangle with an explanation point.

I got a security warning a month or so ago, when I clicked on a link in a post. Of course I did't click on the link. I posted a question about it, & nobody else had gotten the same. After a week or so, I clicked on the thread and things were normal.

The ssl certificate expired this morning. People who use https will get a error until the new certificate is installed. I've done the "email the webmaster" thing, but don't expect a new certificate immediately. The certificate for the catalog site is valid and will work properly until May 2022. At which point it will be renewed. Those that use the http site will get a security error. Live with it, understand what it says. Don't use the same username / password combo for this site and anything you care about, because the password isn't encrypted, and could be recorded by someone who might use it to steal your identity. |

I'm not getting the message any more and the secure version of the URL is back:

I haven't received the certificate error yet on my home laptop or work computer yet.... but I am experiencing the issue Shaun and many have about not being able to use the drag and drop photo uploader (the alternate method on the bottom of it works though). It's possible both these issues are they're tied in together but I don't know enough about this tech mumbo jumbo. The IT guys are aware of the issue though.
