Two of the most funny tv sitcom series of all time Sanford and Son and All in the family. PC people's heads would literally blow up from the confusion of what content they show.*To me it's funny as hell, and the less censored, the better!

Gilligan's Island has been on lately so messing around one lazy Sunday the GF and I watched for a couple of hours.

That show was way, way more dramatic for me as a six and seven year old. I must not have noticed the goofy stuff and payed more attention to the problem that needed solved. Most of the shows I grew up with in the 70's really put the fear of quicksand in my everyday adventures. That and killer bees.-WW

It's on DISH practically all day. I like it too.

Lot's of good episodes with Otis. Another was when he got fed up with his treatment at Andy's jail and vowed to go do his drinkin' up in Mt. Pilot. I always thought Hal Smith did a great job with that character.

I used to watch this one ↓ as a kid with my dad, so I DVR it and run an episode every now & then. WWII had only ended 20 years earlier when it aired.

I have the Magnum dvd box set. Was my favorite show as a kid when the show was on tv. Higgins is still my favorite character ever. I put it on in the garage in the summer as background. I can’t imagine liking it at the time if I was an adult then

2nd favorite character is Barney Fife. Love Andy Griffith show. Perfect. If it’s on, I watch it

I think I may have a solution to many of our problems. I wonder if parents can rig up their kids’ phones and computers and other devices to only display TV shows from between the years 1960-1980.

That’ll make ‘em as wonderful as we all turned out.

One I haven't seen mentioned is King Of Queens. Great cast, excellent writing and dare I say, Doug and Carrie are probably the #1 Sitcom couple.

Better than Ralph and Alice, better than Lucy and Ricky, better than Rob and Laura.

I rewatched NYPD Blue a while back. I thought it held up very well, especially the years with Jimmy Smits.

Dennis Franz "Andy Sipowicz" was my favorite! That show certainly stood the test of time.

The episode where Otis is the Mayberry resident who is descended from a Revolutionary War hero is a hoot.

But my favorite is when the jail is too full and Otis is confined to Andy's house with Aunt Bea as the Warden. She has him working and cleaning. He says going to Andy's house "Is like being sent to 'The Rock"

I saw that episode recently. Today's episode was when Otis bought a car and Barney was giving him a driving test with toy cars. Otis was driving Barney crazy with Andy laughing his arse off in the background.
Another good show I'll record when on is Barney Miller.

It wore pretty thin by now. It gets a bit tedious after a while.

R&A, L&R, R&L never made it across the pond


Neither did Scrubs, but learned about that online, got it downloaded and it's extremely funny AND infinately rewatchable, The charahcters are epic




Boston Legal was fun back in the day, but it lost a lot of shine on rewatching, somehow it didn't age well

We came home several times and the set was on and we knew it was off when we left. We could jingle the car keys and make the TV do random things. It was fun to mess with my brother when he was trying to watch some show.

I think our first remote control TV was in the late 70s to early 80s. It was also audio. Opening a soda or beer can pop top or sneezing could change the channel.

Watching b&w Andy Griffith shows would teach youngin's how to act and life lessons. Great role models too....

Otis, Earnest T. and Briscoe taught me well....
