I'd take an AR over a shotgun any day, but I also know how to use one and it's not for a deterrent effect. Too bad the BG didn't get shot in the balls, so he can't reproduce. I hope he becomes left handed.

Shop owner had a heart attack after the shooting. Expected to be OK.

Too bad he didn't hit center mass.

Civilian seem to like shooting the arms off of bad guys.

He probably jerked the trigger as he brought the barrel up to fire. Understandable, given the excitement of the situation. Did he fire only the one shot? If so, he did pretty well hitting three of the four. The bad guys obviously never read Roger's Rules for Rangers. You never stand too close to your compatriots so one shot can't get more than one person.

Chad Bianco is the sheriff and Mike Hestrin is the D.A. I'm sure that Chad is okay with the self defense and that Hestrin agrees.

there will be lawsuits against the shop owner for shooting one and the others are now traumatized and not sure if they can rob anyone else. they will sue for future loss of income from theft.

My friend sent me a Twitter video of a bank robber running up to a guard who had his hand resting on his gun. The cop shot the bad guy in the neck and he was spraying blood like a fire hose, but was still trying to shoot the cop. His buddy booked out of the bank when lead started flying.

Bad guy leaked coolant all over the floor and crumpled in the roundabout doorway.

If it’s too much, mods please delete.

holy sheiße! that was like a Tarantino movie. That really brings it home how anything but a shot to the spine/brain may not have an immediate effect. Thank goodness the guard wasn't shot as he crawled behind the desks with the perp shooting over him.

Wow!

better video of the OP without all of the BS. Perp screaming like a little girl (which seems to be more the norm when bad guys are confronted with someone that's defending themselves).

The guard had a revolver, and got, I'm pretty sure, at least 3 rounds off. When he went over the wall, he dropped his gun and kept going. I think that was his belt that fell off and was hung up around his foot/ankle. Once the guy collapsed, the guard went back to get his dropped gun. I think he did OK all things considered. I suspect if I was getting shot at, at point blank range, my concentration and focus would be lacking.

No.

Better that the robber had about 30 seconds to consider his life's folly.

Actually, if you look close, the guard did get hit. You can see the blood on the floor. Hopefully he survived. He had his hand on his gun at just the right time and pulled it before the bad guy even knew it.

That bad guy must’ve been running on adrenaline, to pump that much blood, before collapsing.

Yep, that's unfortunate, but blown up to full screen, the guard definitely was bleeding. Very unfortunate, but seems like (hopefully) "minor" (compared to bad guy).

I assume 99.9% of the time if they don't, it's because the business owners aren't willing to spend the money to get it.

Mag dump probably keeps guard from getting shot though

Amazing how much blood someone can lose and still walk around.

A friend and I were talking about that yesterday. Those goddang guys don't belong there and they drive distances to commit their crime. Stolen cars too, I think.
