I want a pillow with a refrigeration unit so that it is always refreshingly cool.

There was/is a product called the “Chillow” and it does keep your head cool, but it was too hard for me.

I’ve become a big fan of in-bed temperature control.
In winter, I set the house heat to 60 F, so it is fairly chilly in the bedroom. My wife put an electric heating topper on the bed, each half of the bed can be heated to a different level, so it is just the right degree of comfy. In summer, alas, the AC is not very effective in our bedroom - on the whole second floor of the house, really - so it would be nice to have some way to cool the bed. I don’t sleep well when it is hot, and sadly summer is getting hotter and hotter in Portland. It looks like there are toppers that circulate chilled water to cool the bed. https://www.consumerreports.org/bed-cooling-devices/best-mattress-cooling-pads-a1218690832/ Anyone try these bed chillers?

Any tailor can sew them up for $20. Luxe fleece at Joann Fabrics is the best.

This thread has been great. I had no idea there were bed coolers. Vicki needs a cool bed, she sets the room temp down to 64 at night and puts a wet cloth on her neck to be comfortable. I'm on the other side under 3 blankets wearing sweat pants and heat holder socks. I ordered a Chilisleep for her after reading this thread.
I would love to build my own pillow. Every night is a battle with the pillow and the CPAP mask to try to get comfortable without the pillow pushing the mask off. A pillow with a sharp drop-off so I can support my head while sort of hanging the mask off the pillow would be great.
