I applied for F&C for the Vegas race in November.
They are looking for ~600 volunteers in different capacities.

Quali on Friday, sprint on Saturday. What? When did they practice? They screwed up my F1 week. Can't run the curbs, too many rules. Williams going out with wet tires on a dry track, that makes sense. Just saying

Hearing the drivers complain about the enforcement of track limits is priceless. Now if the FIA would be consistent at every track we would have something positive.

I predict tomorrow's race will be close right up to the lights going green 😁 . Max and Red Bull just too strong . They have raised the performance bar very high and have shown reliability . Checo tried very hard today but he can't keep up .
Glad to see Hulk had a good run today . But Haas has to figure out their tire deg issues . AM consistent and McLaren has some pace . Ferrari and Alpine could surprise tomorrow . If it rains all bets are off . |

Hey Lewis Hamilton , you want some cheese with that whine ? What a baby , shut up and drive . Entitled idiot .
Another dominant performance by Max and RB . Checo did well . Ferrari are inching closer . Good points for AM . Track limits yikes !!! |

The track limits is something that NEEDS to be enforced like it was today.
Every single game or sport I can think of has a "field of play" and out of bounds is, well out of bounds. I think they are very generous by saying all 4 wheels can't go over the white line. In most sports or games, the line itself it out of bounds. And as the announcers pointed out, in the sprint race, all the drivers knew the red and white curbs retained water, and hence caused slower lap times, so not one driver was going over the line on purpose. When they can gain a 1/100th of a second, they will indeed push to the limits and risk out of bounds. And Hamilton was such a whiner. Yea, his car was not perfect and bullet proof and several seconds faster that the rest of the field like he enjoyed for 8 years straight of running. Welcome to the regular world of winning on driving ability, and teamwork. F1 has almost always had one dominate team. Sometimes it is the other guys. Suck it up buttercup.

I'd rather they put a big sausage curb than those +5 sec. Hit it, break the car or destabilize it and lose traction/ and a spot... Or slippery paint ? something other than constant penalties.
On a selfish note, following Piastri saga out of Alpine and him being called the next great thing, I'm wondering what the deal is when he finishes essentially last and Norris is so far up. I'm really starting to Rate Norris as a great driver, don't think his car belonged there. |

Real rumble strips ought to do the job. They seem to rattle the car enough to lose some time but in themselves don't do great harm. Too tall a berm and you start ripping off parts that other cars can hit potentially causing enough damage to cause a crash. Also tall berms can launch a car.
A wonder if a study has ever been done on the spacing of such strips. It may only take 2 per turn to upset the car. It's all in some kind of harmonics. |
