Pretty sure they found no structure damage, just electrical systems, and will be back for Weds practice sessions. No tire warmers allowed this year and the driver went off on Turn 1 right out of the pits.

As of this morning, they're doing a 'chassis change' (sounds simple ). Apparently, Ferrari first evaluated the damage and found nothing. Then they decided to bring Dallara in (who build the chassis) to double check and Dallara decided to err on the side of caution and change out the chassis. Practice starts at 10:55 tomorrow morning. It's going to be a long night in the Ferrari garage!

Dallara also supply the Cadillacs. And of course they will say you need to change the chassis. $$$

Ferrari: we checked everything and find no damage. Can you double-check us on that?

Dallara: sure! although we can find no damage we highly recommend you swap in a new chassis just to make sure .... cha ching!

The good news is Ferrari got the #51 chassis swapped in time for morning practice. The bad news is they nearly wrecked it again right in front of me. Missed the guardrail by about 6 inches

Right place, right time. And then he gathers it up and sets 2nd fastest time in FP1!

I think Villeneuve was in the Vanwall for all of FP1. Slight improvement but he's still running down at the lower end of the LMP2 cars. He was all over the curbs and misfiring.

Toyota just seems to be able to go as fast as they need to. They dipped into the 1:46s in FP2. Tomorrow will be interesting for sure. IMSA and WEC practice back-to-back. So there will be 4 Porsches running. Can the MS Acura run fast with air in the tires? Has BMW made any progress?
