I used to listen to Nirvana constantly when i was a teenager. As soon as I was out of high school I had enough. I dont hate it but it just doesnt appeal to me anymore. My brother hates love shack and aerosmith. I guess he never really liked them though

Upon reflection over the past 24 hours, I have one that I absolutely despise.

Muskrat Love - . Captain & Tennille. Ca 1975 and got virtually nonstop play on every outlet. From the first time that I heard it, I thought it was crap and hated it.Hit a different station and it was there also. AARRGGHHH

Like nails on a chalkboard to my aural senses. I can hear it deep in my brain as I type this. Hopefully, not an earworm for the next several days. HELP!!!!!!!

Buffett really does nothing for me. I know people that worship the guy but I don't get it.

Agreed. Somehow that big compilation called "Beaches, boats, ballads and babes" got loaded onto my jukebox. I'd have to stop what I was doing everytime a Buffet song started. (I admit that I liked Pencil Thin Mustache for a minute, but that was it.)

I'm a huge, huge Buffett fan, and that song absolutely grates on me...

Have never liked Springsteen, and cannot listen to Pearl Jam-way overplayed once grunge became mainstream. I’ve gotten to the point where I can enjoy Nirvana again, hated for awhile for same reason, but PJ, nope.

I had this one song I used to hate with a passion. I'd cringe whenever it came on the radio, and I'd always switch stations. But then, life happened, and that song seemed to follow me everywhere – in cafes and malls. At first, I was annoyed, but after a while, I guess it started to grow on me.
It got me thinking that sometimes, our initial reaction to a song can be influenced by our mood or what's going on in our lives at that moment. And when you hear a song repeatedly, it can become a sort of comfort or nostalgia, even if you never thought you'd like it.
By the way, if you or your brother are into making music and want to give your songs a boost, there are services like https://songlifty.com/spotify-promotion/ that can help with marketing campaigns.

Lot of good ones posted that I agree with but at the top of my list is Hotel California.

And once again another bot/troll revives an old thread :(

Although it will fill a dance floor in seconds .... I don't think any band wants to play it ever again ... some even have the stickers

When I was a kid in the 80s, I listened to a lot of classic rock. I listened to other stuff as well, but didn't really love a lot of the 80s pop and top 40 stuff. Now when I hear a lot of the music that I didn't like back in the 80s, I definitely get a nostalgic vibe, and enjoy hearing (some of) it. It strikes me as weird every time.

I also assume my taste has changed somewhat. I still enjoy classic rock, but would be less likely to listen to some of the other stuff that I listened to regularly back then. My taste has broadened, but I've also left some stuff behind.

"How Much is that Doggy in the Window." I hated that when it came out. We used to stop by a restaurant (since gone out of business a couple of years ago) on occasion and they played it non stop. Needless to say although the food was good, we didn't go very often. I think that song may have had a hand on why it closed.

I will repeat: Fly Like An Eagle. I hope I never hear it again.

Boston. More Than a Feeling. Hate it

astrochex 01-28-2024 11:12 AM

Not songs, but artists Phil Collins, Steve Miller, and Boston.
