This for a very specific reason. This song brings me back to the week after HS graduation at the NJ shore. At twilight, the top down on my Jeep. I can smell the food on the boardwalk. I remember the people coming off the beach. 32 years later, I bought another Wrangler and it was the first song that played on the radio when I drove the new to me Jeep home. Way before my time, but to me this song is the epitome of Rock & Roll. Impossible to still still whenever I hear that beat.

G'day!

A good assortment thus far - well done all!
Clearly, there are many to choose from.....and there's apparently no such thing as a consensus "best"! BTW.....after all is said and done, I'm sure I will still have dozens more not even mentioned here that would qualify.....

Tough to beat this one if we're talking 70's style. Not a lot big rock from that era had quite the funk of this tune.
I'd probably have a Zep tune in the running as well. Expanding from there you'd have to consider Master of Puppets.

I'd hate to clog up this thread with videos. But this seals the deal.
I'm Your Captain (Closer To Home) - Grand Funk Railroad.....

It is a totally subjective choice to pick one.
But..... I 'll stick with Stairway and or Rock and Roll because I am and always shall be a Zep guy.

I'm getting chills with some of these suggestions... Can't pick one, but some honorable mentions:
Don't Fear the Reaper Barracuda Whiskey in the Jar (Metallica version) Riff Raff (AC/DC)
