SHIRTS & STICKERS
Okay, with permission from #1 I am posting the shirt & sticker information.
Shirts will be white in color and have the Gruppe B sunburst logo over the heart on the left side. Orders for shirts should be PMd or emailed to me directly. Please include ship to address, Gruppe B#, size (S-XXL) & qty desired. Now for the price, all I can say that Gruppe B is powerful. Shirts will $5 each!!! That’s right $5 and that includes shipping! No these are not your thin flimsy wife beater tee shirts, these are high quality and will shrink less than a Beefy T. For those of you who order tee shirts 2 stickers per shirt will be sent along for free. (man I love that word) There is limited quantity on the stickers and shirts so please get your order in quickly. Payment instructions will be sent to you via a reply to your PM or email. For our brethren over seas and to the north we will do our best to hold to that price (not sure about the shipping part). Estimated delivery of shirts and stickers would be first week in August. Gruppe B moves forward, soon with cool stickers and shirts! http://www.pelicanparts.com/support/...s/beerchug.gif |

Thank you all for the kind words of welcome to the knighthood of Gruppe B. I choose Gruppe B #33. It has a nice ring to it and reminds me of the glass lined tanks of old Latrobe: Rolling Rock Beer.
So raise your glasses, stick your head out the window and yell, "The bastards are coming...the bastards are coming". Then duck back in before your neighbors think you've flipped a microswitch. I will make the appropriate changes to my profile to proudly display my new association. |
No. 1, I am pleased to report that weapons practice was a success, with a number of gold pieces exchanging hands ;)
On an even better note, I am glad to report that the Streit Racer has joined our ranks!!! Phoebe, my fellow brothers in arms, is indeed a fire breathing beast with a roar to frighten RGuppies and SCWDPoopers into the pits. She is truely the definition of a Bastard! And she is fast! OHMAGAWD! She is fast! http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-911-technical-forum/115684-phoebe-racecar-mag-cover.html#post851705 Welcome No. 15! WUF! WUF! |
As written by our newest member: Sir Chris
"Amidst the darkness there came a white light. That piercing light was emenating from the mouth of a four footed beast called "Phoebe" with blue on it's loins and fire in it's butt. Verily I say unto to you that that white represents the cleansing fire of automotive modifications unrestrained by the likes of "matching numbers" and other unmentionable and unattainable tasks. The four tires represent the four corners of direction, forwards, backwards, left and right. This beast was capable of negotiating all and not restrained to only forward and left like many of the unwashed masses that call themselved NASCAR. The blue, finally, represents the sorrow of any that should accidentally cross the path of the beast on it's home territory called "The Track" The beast inhaled mightily through six throats, and cried out in a tremendous howl through two megaphones, "Behold for I lay claim to the number FIFTEEN, and FIFTEEN be the number I claim. I claim not fourteen or sixteen, but right between at FIFTEEN." "Let the big iron give way to the mighty flat-six" said the beast " though Gruppe B they shall never attain" Chris Streit 6/20/03 __________________ Chris Streit -------------- 1982 930 "Penny" 1970 911S RSr Replica "Phoebe" Gruppe B #015 WELCOME CHRIS!!!!!!!!! |
Yes Chris is a great asset indeed. Shirt orders are flowing into the virtual mission headquarters and email replys will sent out this weekend. #1 & #2 have the gift of word to let people see the light and be apart of Gruppe B.
We grow, it is unstopable. West coast all clear, time for adult beverages.:D |
I tip my frosty Ale in a grand salute to DByers for his commitment to the cause! Keep the requests for Ye Ole official Gruppe B Garments(T shirts .... lol) flowing in fellow B@st@rds
|
And welcome as well Frogman. Panzer division...lol We are arming ourselves to the teeth!

Holy crap...I just read this whole thread in a single sitting. I've got eye strain and the carpal tunnel is acting up. It was getting really tedious until someone, a few pages back, mentioned drinking. That made it better.
I just received my SCWDP t-shirt and the stickers are on the way. I was proud to be associated with that group until I read Doug's post back on page (12). "I promised him as long as there were Porsche 911 SC's on the roads, I would lead our soldiers ever forward, towards The Goal. " Now, I support the Porsche 911SC and all it represents, but I didn't sign on for any weird "Goat" stuff. Can I be a Gruppe B'eer? |
If this thread was a Monty Python sketch it would have ended loooong time ago with Graham Chapman coming through the door dressed as a police officer saying "STOP IT STOP IT! THIS IS FAR TOO SILLY"
LOL :D :D :D Thanks for the laugh people! |
Yup Mikkel we seek the Grail :D why don,t you join us we need members for our Euro divison !

Dutchie
If I can wear an outfit like that.... COUNT ME IN! http://www.pelicanparts.com/support/smileys/king2.gif |
SOmehow it always comes down to Monty Python... I snagged the "Holy Hand Grenade" sketch as my inspiration for selecting #15.
|
and is white your favorite colour or was it the bunny ? :D
|
It was an ill and foul tempered rodent, not I say, NOT a mere bunny.
|
And the Lord spake, saying, 'First shalt thou take out the Holy Pin. Then, shalt thou count to three. No more. No less. Three shalt be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, nor either count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the third number, be reached, then, lobbest thou thy Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch towards thy foe, who, being naughty in My sight, shall snuff it

As written in the Gruppe B Manifesto. Chapter 1, verse 3. "And ye shall go out among the non-believers and spread thy truth that any man who accepts the path of Porsche...with an open heart and an open mind, yet shall he be one with the brotherhood." I do this today my good friends, I go to spread the news that we are here... as I attend a local Porsche gathering and suck down a few suds as well!
Wish me well! P.S. Dutchie that post made me spit up my breakfast cereal!! lol |
Good luck Sir John ! sorry about the cereal :D
wuf wuf |
Good to see the word is spreading strong! I will do my best to spread the word tomorrow at Nurburgring...as tonight I prepare for the battle. I ask my friends for assistance with this battle preperation...any tips before I run my noble steed round and round the 13 mile "Green Hell"?
I have checked luggs, shocks, etc. Engine is strong and has good clean Mobile 1 pumping through the veins...tires are good and the wether is clear, the Porsche gods are looking out. Gruppe B will run the ring! |
Armaments, chapter two, verses nine to twenty-one.
And Saint Attila raised the hand grenade up on high, saying, 'O Lord, bless this Thy hand grenade that, with it, Thou mayest blow Thine enemies to tiny bits in Thy mercy.' And the Lord did grin, and the people did feast upon the lambs and sloths and carp and anchovies and orangutans and breakfast cereals and fruit bats and large chunks........ http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploads/21_book.jpg |
The only Monty I know is a muffler! Porsche related posts....Wuf! Wuf!

ehhm Smitty my tip would be not to go :( but i,m sure you will so take it slow please ! Watch out for the bikers they will pass you at speeds you cannot believe. It,s a great track but you need to do hunderds of laps to learn it i,m afraid. All sounds a bit dull maybe but the track is closed 6 times a day because they have to tow cars away. The green hell is and will be the most dangerous track around because there is no room for errors. So please be carefull my friend :)
|
thank you Ed...you are correct! I have spent many months reading up on the track and I just can't leave Europe without running a few laps of that track! I am going to take it pretty easy and just enjoy the expiereince while looking at the other cars and insane drivers...should be great fun! I had not heard of the 6 track closures for tow trucks...but I have seen many pictures of wreked cars and that's not fun. I have been told that as long as you take it easy and remain in control, you will do fine. So I am not going to be keeping times, and my goal is nothing more than a great day driving around a great track. Thanks Ed.
|
i,m sure you will be fine :) maybe 6 times is the record but now the weather is nice it will be crowded overthere i,m sure. Taking it slow is the way to go the first time. Just watch out for those a##holes in their tuned golfs worth 600 euro,s they are the crazy ones ! i know because i was one of them. I did some pretty stupid stuff overthere but got away with it. Keep your line and don,t try to make room for the faster cars because this is how the most accidents happen overthere ! Have a blast i,m sure you,ll love it :) and offcourse bring the camera.

I am looking to catch up with Ben Lovejoy (Spelling?) and maybe catch a few pointers from him...his website is excellent.
|
yeah try to find Ben :) he is one of the Ring gurus. Ask him if he would like to join you, would be awesome to have someone like that with you. Also look for "Ringers" stickers they are the Dutch ring fans and they will give you the best of advice or go with you if you like. www.8200rpm.com is their home i,m sure they will be there tommorow.
|
a direct link from ww.8200rpm.com video of two 911 RS,s on the ring http://217.67.226.28/Video_Section/Porsche-993-RS-HR.avi
enjoy :) |
Ben is going to be there accorrding to his site...I have seen the ringers stuff as well since I have been researching this for a long while.
That would be very cool to have Ben along, he does know the ring very well. I also have a friend from work going with me for the ride, so I will be very careful. |
thanks Ed...I am downloading it now
|
Be careful Smitty. I just saw a Rennlist e-mail with a link to the Ferrari Chat in which I perused, and it seems one of their members may have met a tragic end at the Ring recently. Enjoy yourself and please return to the castle walls in one piece. WUf! Wuf!
|
I read that posts as well...hard to swallow something like that as it will be in my mind as I drive the ring. I will return with great pride that I will have conquered the ring...well I least went for a nice Sunday drive on it.
|
Smitty, enjoy and be safe. Full update upon your return.
