Greetings from the Kettering hospitals coffee bar and day spa

We are still searching for the details, but the back surgery I had two weeks ago seems to be going fine. Unfortunately it caused or exacerbated a different problem related to my bladder and/or prostate.
When the doctors asked to rate my pain level from 0 to 10 I never said 9 or 10 even when Vicki would whisper “Tell them 10.”
Until now.
My God - the pain in my lower gut is a solid 11 with a bullet. I have NEVER experienced pain like this.
They’re hauling me to a bigger hospital in about an hour to see if they can figure out what’s going on.

Sure it's not a kidney stone? Be sure they check that..

I had extreme pain with an enlarged prostate that almost lead to kidney failure.

I hope what you have can be diagnosed accurately and relieved quickly.

Good luck, WD! Get better soon, sir!

1:30 AM the nurse came in and put a bunch of those sensors that they use for EEGs on my crotch! I don’t know what they’re looking for. It maybe some kind of torture device.
Loren the nurse saw me in my room. “Hey, what are you doing back here?”
I told her I was getting a catheter at Kettering but they didn’t have any long enough, so they sent me here to Reid.
She rolled her eyes and said, “Don’t forget I was your nurse before. “

Will pray for you, brother! (And your care givers to figure it out). Sounds like they’re being fairly proactive.

Sorry to hear about this WD. As mentioned above a kidney stone? I hope they fix you up okay. I understand what you are going through as the pain I had with a kidney stone is right up there. I am slated for water works surgery with a catheter installed this January.
I am confident they will find what is wrong with you and fix you up.
Cheers, Guy.

You are at the right place, in the hospital. Hopefully on a IV drip with dial a smile morphine drip.

Once they insert that extra long catheter maybe you will get some relief.

I seem to recall an earlier thread regarding a urinary issue (pee blood). Possibly related? What a nightmare. At least your sense of humor is still intact.
