Storms on the way?

SW Ohio is abuzz with weather warnings. I’ve never seen it like this. Schools are closed from Cincinnati to Columbus. Lines at the grocery were 10 carts deep, people getting water and toilet paper.
There have been a few historical TV programs about the 50 year anniversary of the Supercell outbreak (April 3rd) that caused so much death and destruction and I think the memory of that has people on edge. I was about 8 miles from the city of Xenia that afternoon. It was the most awesome, scary, weird, eerie weather event I’ve ever experience.
Don’t need any more of that this afternoon.

We had that storm yesterday. California sent it to us, and we sent it to you.

We had dire predictions of grapefruit to baseball size hail and torrential rain. We received a nice 0.52 inches or rain. Lots of thunder, but just rain. Some parts did get hail, but not here.

I am happy we missed out on the hail and those spinning winds.

All three of the major network stations love to send out storm chasers, and hype the storms. The radar at the local owned TX station is state of the art, dual pole million watt radar.

Here on good ole sunny So Cal, we've been having rain storms on the weekends. We'll have another one after this coming weekend. According to the weather station I have, we've had 19.04 inches of rain since the first of the year. We;ve been actually lucky - at least where I live - the rain hasn't been excessive at any one time. So far it's been enough to replenish the water table, though the grasses are going to be tall.

I heard that too but the various weather channels aren't showing rain in the next 10 days.

Correction: Friday storms.

Enough rain already. I need sunshine, especially Saturdays where we get together on our weekly training bike rides. Its been three weeks without riding for me and just as I was getting back on after my torn tendon couple months ago, I understand it might rain again this weekend. Both weekend rain storm came down pretty good. Two weeks ago, I was just tired and needed to blow off some steam and decided to take a nice drive up to Angeles Crest after washing and polishing the Cayman. Once I got up to the top, it started raining then hailing. Our hail is like a pea nothing like the ones in the middle of the country where baseballs are thrown at ya. So much for all my hard work washing the thing. then I get rear ended a week later.

The wrong storms went both north and south of us. We dodged a line of storms last week in the same way.

We had 9 inches of rain in March, that could have been 9 feet of snow. We are getting 2 inches of rain this week. Then it looks pretty nice for a while.

Rain again for SoCal this weekend. All records broken that I know of. Could be wrong about that. Lots of ways to determine a record. Week, month, season, yearly....
