Not vertical inlet to outlet , vertical lengthwise if that makes sense .

It will be much easier around town than my extended cab Duramax 4x4 with an 8 ' bed 😋 . Parking is like moving the Queen Mary 😁

The mufflers have simple turn down tips . I will probably see if an exhaust shop can extend the pipes to the rear . At the very least to exit in front of the rear wheels but would prefer behind the rear wheels or straight out the back .
Good call. Turn downs were cool in the 60's but let a lot of exhaust gases into the interior in slow traffic not to mention stopped. Out the back is best IMO.

East to West instead of North to South?

Yeah plus I plan on adding a color matched cap so our dog can go with us if my wife and I go somewhere . Don't want fumes coming in the back .

I think I get it, they're standing on 'edge' rather than laying down if you look at them from the end.

Out the back and pointed off to the side so the fumes don't just get sucked up from the rear.
Dad used to have some wind deflectors on the Travelall that would catch the air flow at the end of the rear side windows so we could run with the back window down a tad for airflow inside without the fumes coming in.

Yeah I remember my dad's Suburban with the roof mounted deflector . That had the tailgate with the roll down window . Helped keep the window clean and fumes out .

I only took a quick peek under the back but I only remember leaf springs . He said it had 2 " lowering blocks . I only really got on it a few times with just wheel spin no hop . But I didn't get on it full throttle . Once I get it home I will get it on my lift and study everything.

Did the vehicle's rear move out to a side with wheel spin?

The GMC Syclone was, in my personal opinion is the best looking modern truck ever produced, there was nothing to change to improve on it.

I'm still jonezing for one..

Good looking truck, as others said, a blank canvas, just don't add zebra stripes, Brumos stripes might be cool (been thinking about that for the White 2500 Suburban.

Byron I agree on the Cyclone , an instant classic . One of the things I was attracted to on this particular S10 was the blank canvas look . Just very clean . The only badging it has is the red bow tie on the front grill and the two LS badges on each cab side . That's it . Right now the only thing I might add is a red bow tie decal on the tailgate to match the front . Some mud flaps front and rear . And a color matched fiberglass cap . I want to maintain the clean look .

Hmmm. Should be a fun and easy experiment to repeat! If not present, installing some sort of limited slip diff could be the first order of business (leading to consideration of differential type and possibly upgrading the axle housing and brakes at the same time?).

Very cook truck. Congrats!
Have your ordered new rear tires yet? You know you're going to need them
