I was honored to be asked by the Publishers at Industrial Press to write a revised chapter on lubrication for the 32nd edition of the Machinery's Handbook.

I have my father's MH he used in collage in the '40's I'll check the date. When I worked with him he'd pull it off the shelf and check the tolerances for the most obscure things. Bearing to shaft tolerance for a 14" drive shaft for a pump. .

I have two editions, one published in the nineteen teens and one in the early 2000's. I'll have to check which editions they are and report back. It's amazing how similar they are in many respects. A retiring senior engineer gave me the old one back in the '80's or early '90's. He was still using it.
