Middle initial A. That's where he gets TABS from.

Not saying he hasn't passed, by SPOKEO is not exactly the best for these things.
Agreed. I got a chance to read the spokeo in more detail after work today.
Does it reference TABS?
Yes.. listing his interests as luxury, cigars, cooking, music, DIY, auto, hunting.

Is the 'deceased' reference correct? Eh....
August 1988?
Nope.
My best guess is Spokeo is confusing TABS JR. potentially with his Dad's TABS SR's death, or TABS (TNBs?) /

(If TABS is a TABS Jr. - Just image for a second getting to meet TABS prime...)

TABS might as well be on a beach in Zihuatanejo sanding his boat waiting for Red to show up. This is becoming mythical.

Theodore - divine gift of god in Greek, add your favorite saint name provided by your G-Ma for the classic Catholic combo.

I agree. He believed he had things pretty well figured out, and in most things he had done so. He did like to tell us that we were dense souls, but that was mainly an act to get attention.

He was one of the first people to reach out to me in a PM when a family member passed.

That changed my perspective of him immediately and permanently

RIP, you crazy wing-tip collector.

He replied to one of my PMs about the real value of my dad's 9mm Smith and Wesson built in 1959. My brother kept it, and I got a brand new 9mm Sig that dad never even fired.

He was a real resource for info on any gun.

RIP. The Pelican forum is diminished without him.

^^^^ (referencing Mike) Tabby was one of a kind .

I recall (amongst all the bombastic posts) a thread about someone who died where he made a sincere, deep, and profound post that changed my opinion of him too ... and I already liked his contributions here ... warts and all.

Tabby ... always larger than life

RIP...

He was very good to me like that too. There were some gun parts that the seller didn't want to send overseas. So TABS got the seller to send it to him and he shipped it out to me.

I’d forgotten about that. He was present and experienced the passing of his dear friend. From that he embraced Carl Jung and his theory of a collective unconscious, that certain cognitive functions can be shared between people in a sort of telepathic way. Direct communication from one brain to another.

Economically, he talked about the ‘animal spirits’ which, I think, was in reference to the invisible hand. There was some kind of unseen and universal force influencing not only macroeconomic outcomes but outcomes of one’s life. He was a fatalist that way. And also found God.

Tabs, as they say, did not suffer fools lightly! I was often in awe of his responses to somewhat pedestrian posts from some of the board. He was a resource that likely can't be replaced. He joins a long line of contributors that made this a rich place to spend time, pretty rare nowadays.

Still say we need a memorial sticky page with all of the deceased Pelican members with no other comments other than the names..
