That is a kind idea. Maybe start a topic and Seahawk can make it a sticky?

I have no issues, but I'll ask Admin at PP first.

Their call.

Reading the last three pages of this topic have we really confirmed his passing ? I see nothing concrete stating yes . Did I miss something ? RIP if it is true .

Probably the last time I visit this thread ... but just tossing this out for consideration. Rather than a depressing "sticky thread" that I would never visit ... I think the "In Memorium" that is displayed under some former Pelicans' ID is a better option.

I'm also not real comfortable with a former Pelican (who never disclosed his name, info here) having his REAL WORLD info in a thread just because they pass on either.

If THEY wanted to be anonymous on PPOT, it's wrong to disclose this info after they pass just because they died... just my .02.

Think about it...

I'm going back outside to finish my igloo now....

That is an excellent option. I will pass that along as well.

That would just be his online personality on this particular chat forum and one POV he had. He posted about many other things, over the years. He was an absolute firearms guru, for instance, with a collection worth god knows how much.

Judging him by one running joke here would be like reducing your entire life down to being an insufferable, constipated something on this forum.

I find it rather sad that there was no one to come forward and tell us of his passing.

Perhaps he was a loner and did not give any instructions on how to say goodbye. It will be interesting to see if any of his warnings come true. He was charismatic. I always read his posts. RIP Tabs....

I don't. Ted was on a whole other level than most other people. It rather seems fitting. He wasn't a tragic hero or an antihero, maybe a Byronic hero, but he was a unique piece of literature all of himself, perhaps one that would have been created by Goethe.

You must have missed his near encyclopedic posts on antiques, firearms and let us never forget: dragon ass jeans.

I don't think this should be about was he right or wrong in his doom and gloom posts. I think it should be about a group of guys having regular conversations at the McD's or gas station or wherever and we find ourselves one less.

Although Tabs and Nostatic (Todd) enjoyed giving eachother severe grief online they were besties in real life.

Why? I'd guess that most spouses/friends have no idea we even post on a car forum.
Or which specific ones, or even our user names.
After a death, updating a forum (which they are not even aware of) is not even on the list.
No one updating a car forum is no reflection on his actual life

I think Tabs is still around.

Or we would have heard of an auction of a 1972 (or '73) 911S that comes with 10,00 pairs of Italian shoes.
