2025 livery critique: not a fan of the Meyer Shank Acura liveries. The Phillips 66 is not horrid and it's cool to see an old name like Phillips 66 back in the game. The other one (askROI) is just sort of unimaginative, dated-looking and doesn't stand out in a crowd at all out on track. Also would have liked to see a little bit of an update/change to the Penske-Porsches and the Whelen Cadillac.

Curt, I agree that the MSR liveries are bland, the cars don’t stand out at all.

The WTR Caddies on the other hand are helped by the metallics.

Rexy is still the visual king, although the Iron Dames car can be seen from the horizon.

Coolest car at Daytona (street car, race car or other)??? This Greenwood Corvette tribute! Driven to the track. Lawn chairs, etc. stuffed into the passenger seat. So cool.

My sentimental favorite for GTD is Magnus Racing. They are only running Daytona this year. They have a history of success at Daytona, with two wins. Their PR has been epic. The press release for the race is simply great, https://x.com/whatitbkb/status/1881133969917571197

OK, it doesn't mean a whole lot but here's the fastest times for all sessions with BMW #24 topping the sheet. Grosjean in the Lamborghini is impressive at 4th.

Interesting interview with John Doonan yesterday. Of course, Aston Martin is already here and Hyundai/Genesis will be here next year. But he basically indicated that a future McLaren GTP is a done deal and did not deny the rumor that Ford is coming to GTP. Pretty soon, it's going to be a question of who's not in?
