I had to get out and visit Ft. Reno. It was established in 1874 to quell thee Indians, and it served as a POW camp during WW2 for German and Italian POWs.

The sad news is that that now the USDA owns the land, and they don't care about the fort and they are letting many buildings just deteriorate. They tore down many buildings. The Fort was a stop on the Chisholm trail.

That's unfortunate, it sounds like an important piece of US history.
