i love science and technology. this is going to change my traveling game.

i'll be in Tokyo in november. when are you going?

the pods come out next friday i think. i heard a report. i think they listen to you and automatically translate everything it hears to your language automatically. in a lower volume. like a background noise.

i'll have them in in Taipai with my wifes extended family. i'll know if they think i'm fat.

I just got done ordering mine. Not because of any fancy translation feature, but rather because I have now put my Pro 2's through the laundry twice and they don't work quite like they used to. Hopefully these fix the transparency mode problem of cutting in and out.

I really want to see how they improved the ANC and the hearing enhancement capability. The heartrate feature might be kind of nice when exercising but I wear my watch for that kind of stuff.

No, but you can carry on a conversation if you both are. The normal way places the text on your phone of what you say back in their language and you show it to the other person. No different than Google Translate that's been around for a few years.

Now that I think of it, this translate thing might be really helpful. It might help me to better understand what my wife is saying. I doubt it can work miracles though.
