Sorry to hear about your problem, you would think he would step up to the plate and provide some customer service.
Just to add some more information. If the box is undamaged and signed for the consignee has either 24 or 48 (not sure) hours to submit a claim to the transport company for hidden damage. The claim needs to be well documented with pictures. If it has insurance the transport Company has the right to repair or replace or payout, with no insurance they are liable for aprox 50 cents per pound so your 10lb box is only $5. If the item is shipped FOB destination then the shipper is responsible for loss or damage to the item and has to make the claim. Some of the above info may not be 100 percent but it gives you an idea of the process. Best thing to do on fragile items is to have the shipper be responsible for it during transportation.

I purchased front and back early fiberglass bodywork from MA Shaw. Accidently the wrong rear section was sent. Mike called me personally after I emailed him and paid for all costs coming and going.

After this I know where I will be buying all my glass bodywork! He supports his work and is a great guy!

Really sorry to hear about your troubles, Souk. I know how you feel. I'm currently fighting with 3 shipping companies that have destroyed over $1K of audio gear and there's nothing worse than companies giving you the finger after you gave them your money and trust.

Right on, Tom. There is a lot or principle working here. The fix on the part is easy. To fix the bad mojo is gonna take some doing. I'm painting one these things right now for another member and I see where the two pieces are bonded together. Sounds like the part was rushed a bit.

I used to make FG parts for cars many years ago. The moment I stepped out of the laminating room the quality went down. I think a quality shop doesn't rush and charges a bit more. I know the parts will be better, so it's worth a little more. How do you know when this occurs though? Every part is hand made and is a little different due to shop temps and % of catalyst. It's not an easy business, you have to eat a few parts now and then.

I knew from the first post, he is known for lower prices but "you get what you pay for."

Not in the mfr's defence, by any any means, but having worked for a major shipping company, the packages get handled in at least 10 times in outdated/badly designed transition processes where often 6ft wide belt get crushed down to 4ft, and the low-education loaders recieve their packages dumped in a large pile trapping them inside the trucks.

Added to that is that the packages are lumped together with sub 150lbs. packages and the whole lot is continually crushed together, it's sometimes a wonder anything makes it through.
