I really hope they catch the killers and give them a REAL justice... not by Court!! but by the only thing tey seem to understand! a slow PAINFUL death ...... and send the **** out to all the damn world.. now that's stuff they can understand.. maybe it wouldn't solve anything.. but it will send a message that we are not sorry .. and we will NOT put up with it.
i know .. I know.. I said I was going.. OK.. I am gone.

Oh yeah Thanks Island.. for having the insight to see what I was getting at.

Im not justifying anything here, but the above quote sounds very much like what the al-qaida was saying in the 5 minutes speach about the crimes commited against the Iraqi's before he comited his crime of beheading the amrican.

So how does that make our thinking (morals) beter then theirs?

It's an open question not my opinion so don't bother firing shots at me.

I mentioned it would maybe solve nothing.. but hey if you are OK..with them simply slaying our citizens and feel that we should tip toe around hoping they Please don't do it again....thats your gig man..
To each his own.. people can only be pushed so far until they must do what they feel will ease the mind.. and if turning your head to it all or hoping they catch them ( yeah right ) to bring them to justice!... then brother.. yeah you're are RIGHT. I DO come from a different school than you do.....I am from the "If you get kicked you Kick BACk 5 times as hard " and stay stand there and DARE the Fu*ker to try it again..
but to each his own.. thats the sweet thing about America you don't have to see it my way..sweet huh!

Strange enough, I agree with you on this one (except I was not calling you a terroist), I was just saying that when people get angry, we all (including me) tend to always want revenge.

So in a way, non of us are moraly any better then the next guy.

The five cowards (as well as AQ and Hamas) who commited this crime are nothing more than the Arab equivilent of the KKK. To damn ****** chicken to take off their stupid hoods. If you believe in what you are doing, take your hood off and be a man.

I agree... I am not saying that what I would want to do would be blessed in the eyes of God..
Never.. I am simply saying we do not always operate in a word that follows the right path... and as long as you are going to live in this un perfect world... you must treat those and do to those people in a way that they can learn and understand.. in a way that lets them know we are NOT sissys and we will not sit back and appologize for upsetting them.
It is NOT how the world works.. It would be GREAT if it did and no one had to die and everyone had full bellies and mom's and dads.. but it WILL NEVER BE THAT WAY!

Even though I am far from being a conspiracy theory-type person, the right-wing responses on this thread make it extremely believable that the CIA somehow murdered this guy. Oh, I forgot. We don't slit people's throats.

There is a LOT at stake over there for a lot of powerful, rich, and corrupt M.F.ers, and remember, the slogan for the current shot-callers is, "the end justifies the means". Tell huge lies, fabricate or distort intelligence, it's all good. We know what we're doing, just wish that we could tell you the real story. Maybe someday, children.

Think about it, just when things are looking really bad for "the coalition", after a year of almost nothing going right, PR-wise, these Abu Ghirab photos and videos come out and threaten to soften up support even among the NASCAR crowd. That's a problem. Presto, a convenient head-chopping video pops up, some how every person in the world has access to it with 3 clicks of the mouse, (almost too easy to find, don't you think?), and VOILA, the rednecks are screaming for blood, countries made of glass, etc...

People like this guy, a fortune hunter from somewhere, U.S.A., get killed every day in the hell-hole that is U.S.-occupied Iraq. Somehow he gets beheaded on film by a bunch of terrorists that are so evil that they look like they stepped out of a Rambo movie or something. And it worked like a charm, "See! What we did to those prisoners was NOTHING compared to this! We need to torture them more! They're worse than animals!"

Even if you don't believe my scenario, (and I'll admit that you need to believe in conspiracies for it to work), the results you can't argue with. This is what it took to change the subject on talk radio stations and internet chat rooms across the land. LAst week, rape and murder at Abu Ghirab, this week a beheading by some other evil MFers. If Osama did this, he is playing you right-wingers like fools, he is the only one who wants this war more than Bush. He has absolutely nothing to lose in it, (hated Saddam), and everything to gain. He needs the war to continue and spread in Muslim countries, that is beyond his wildest wet dreams.

Everyone knows that on 9/11 the terrorists won a battle, caught us w/ our pants down and hurt us bad. Now, thanks to the hubris and corruption of Bush and Co. combined w/ the gullibilty of (some of) the public, Bin Ladin has a shot at winning the real war. Or at least some major battles. Pathetic.

Wrong! The KKK never had the full support and protection of our government. The five cowards you refer to are regional heros. Every Islamic government in the region has given these "militants" financial support and physical protection. They even have special facilities to train more and more of them to continue their good work! The KKK analogy does NOT hold water. I wish it did.

I heard about a story years ago when this terrorist bs started.
They killed a Soviet Union spook in the mid-east and Moscow sent in a team. The team eventually rounded them all up. They tied them up in chairs and cut off their dicks. They stuffed their dicks in their mouths and took pics. They posted the pics throughout the area. No Soviets were ever killed again.

Speeder - I think you might be on to something. Did you find the artilce about the american body found on "Monday" but inthe same paragraph quote it states is was during the "weekend"

Did you also catch the article of Nick Berg being held by the military (and placedh in an orange jump suit) then his family requested that he be released. He was (still in his ORANGE jumpsuit.

The same jump suit he died in? hum.......

Sounds like a handover to me.

Just FYI - I did a school report once on a police man that beat a mexican man close to death, so in a panic, he took the mexican man to the his rival gangs hood and droped him off in the street.
The mexican man was later found dead by bullet wounds not from the officers gun. (so the officer was never in any trouble) So the story was never uncoverd untill one of the rival gang memeber (with a concious)came forward and spoke out.

While I will give you credit for considering that senario, I have to take it away for not looking beyond that senario.

The fact of the matter is (regardless of whether "CIA somehow murdered this guy"), just like 9-11-2001, the Arab community reacted with cheering.

Just for a second, contrast that Arab community reaction with that of the US after those woman-dominating naked men "torture" pictures apeared.

Look beyond, Denis. . .don't stop at being critical/suspicious of OUR countrymen.

I can be plenty critical of barbaric people in far-away lands, but the problem that I am referring to is how when emotions can be manipulated, logic goes out the window. If you think that what we need right now is more emotion and less brains, read no further.

I have seen people write that there are essentially two paths for us to take, "tip toe around and ask them not to cut 'our heads' off any more, or nuke them" (sic). I have news for you, there are not only those 2 paths, there might be 4 or 5 other paths, and all one hell of a lot smarter for achieving our ultimate goals. Why play into the hands of Osama Bin Laden?? He has gotten his fantasy war, being fought by other people, with other people's money, not really in his back yard, what's not to like (for him)??

And things just couldn't be going better for him, or worse for President DUI.

It makes me furious, but not in the same way as the flag-wavers. Bottom line is that most of us our furious, so somebody is winning, right?

I'm pretty sure I couldn't watch the video (even with the inbuilt morbid curiosity humans tend to have). As a ten or eleven year old I remember seeing the footage of the 2 soldiers dragged from their car by an angry mob and then being shot.

Some things tend to burn in my mind.

Everyone is different. I'm pretty much completely desensitized to the blood and guts stuff. When I watched the video, I was watching the killers. Reading their posture, tone. I was shocked by the heartlessness and inhumanity, not the violence.

Although some of you disagree, and neither of our sides have solid proof, I think there are more Muslims of this violent nature than we think. If you think its just a small terrorist group with its own religious motives then you are dead wrong. The hatred spreads like wildfire over there and its so easily justified by Allah and all their 50 virgins in heaven BS.
