Porsche Crest The Day After Tomorrow: not Porsche friendly!

I just watched a preview of the movie, The Day After Tomorrow, and in it, a black early 911 gets crushed by another car in a storm sequence in Manhattan... oh the humanity!!!

They should of squished/squashed a Cayenne, would have done the public a favor.

Tyson, this board is not where you unleash your angry from your petty inconveniences. Breathe, believe in MFI and go drive really fast up angeles crest, works for me. haha. Why couldnt they have crushed one of those fiberglass vettes or a camaro.

The film's director, Roland Emmerich, is German and drives a BMW Z8.

I haven't seen the shot of the 911 getting smashed.

I certainly hope the end credits include the phrase "No Porsche 911s were harmed during the making of this film."

So how was the movie? I saw a review on Fox "News" and they didn't like it not like I would believe them.

In only hope the 911 smashing was a computer animation.

Haven't seen the movie yet but I was watching a 'making of' feature on a science show where they were explaining how they did the animations, etc for the film. In it, they showed a real street scene with actual cars (one was the aformentioned black long hood 911) and proceeded to show the car again with a real taxi dropped on top of it. The computer generated image in that sequence was the tidal wave rushing through downtown Manhattan... the carnage was real I'm afraid...

I, for one, was kinda glad to see the previews. It's time the EAST coast gets wiped out by a tidal wave instead of one of the west coast cities.

No, I didn't come up with that one myself, I went to the local Porsche dealer and had a look at what was going on in the service area. Really sad.

Sing -
I think everyone gets wiped out (the trailer shows the Capitol Records bldg. and the Hollywood sign taking a beating); it's just that NYC is featured b/c more people care about the East Coast.
