I reckon it is bollox too - if it was that easy, everyone would have requested 3 purple hearts and got out of there. As a 29 year-old, my overwhelming view of the Vietnam war was that it was fought by draftees who didn't want to be there.

My (obviously at least partially biased) view of the whole "Swift Boats vs Kerry" debate is that the SBV credibility has peaked.

Obviously, you believe what you want to believe when you read these the media articles, but unless you are one-eyed to the point of needing a pirates patch you would have to acknowledge that:

(a) the SBV have challenged Kerry's credibility and integrity; and
(b) they don't have much of said credibility or integrity themselves.

From now on, I'm gonna try and ignore this issue. Its stupid and negative. The baromoter of negativity and smear is firmly in the Republican camp right now.

In all seriousness, what evidence do you guys have that the SBV's are lying? I mean besides the "official" reports written by Kerry himself? Ok, I admit he did not write them all, but he was the source for the reports best I can tell. I know you guys want it to be false, but proof would be nice.

My point was that most copies have been destroyed and there has been no new release...I am not understanding something...In 1971 he was ashamed of his war hero status, even wrote a book about it, now he is proud of his "war hero" status and you cannot find a copy of the book if you tried.
