I guess he ended up realizing that what appeared to be attrocities at the time would be embraced as heroic actions by clueless folks like yourself.

Anything for a vote, right?

Are you proud of all this character assassination? I think I can picture your answer "its true, and what has to be done, has to be done".

Len

What proof do you want? You have SBV say so against other people's say so.

From the newpaper article (in NZ's newspaper today too):

Quote:

In that February 1969 operation, he said Kerry came under rocket and automatic weapons fire from Viet Cong soldiers and Kerry devised an aggressive ad unusual attack strategy that was praised by their superiors.

In their book, "Unfit for Command," Kerry critics John O'Neill and Jerome Corsi accuse Kerry of exaggerating wartime events. They said Kerry's attack on the Viet Cong ambush displayed "stupidity, not courage."....

....Rood said then-Capt. and now retired Rear Adm. Roy Hoffmann, the task force commander, congratulated the three swift boats, saying the tactic of charging the ambushes was a "shining example of completely overwhelming the enemy."

Hoffmann has become a Kerry critic and now says what the boats did that day showed Kerry was impulsive to a fault.
You want to see flip flopping, look no further than Hoffman - "I was for John Kerry before I was against him"?

WTF are you smoking, bubby? This is the OT, when someone posts BS they are fair game for ridicule, (all in good fun of course), ;) , but "violent"?

You know what they say about heat/kitchens/etc....

Peace out.

No?...You don't say?...the NZ newspaper quoting an editor (no duress there) from the Chicago Tribune?...The guy won't debate and was called by Kerry (more likely than not with an implied threat) to release his statement that says absolutely nothing revolutionary.

Why doesn't Kerry release his records Cam?...3 Purple Hearts, 1 silver star and 1 bronze star in 4+ months?...Not a single full day in the hospital..254 Swift Boat Veterans (some actually with real wounds and full-service) contradicting his opportunistic parasiticism...Rejected his medals, threw them over a wall, said he didn't throw them, he threw somebody elses, the medals, the ribbons (whatever confusing "nuanced" BS he spewed)...and now he has them hanging on his wall...

He lied about widespread attrocities to further his political career (since back-peddling)...He lied about Nixon sending him to Cambodia (since ignored by the media - including NZ's unbiased rag)..."seared, seared in his memory"...He married 2 millionaires and is a career politician who has never worked an "honest" day in his life.

speeder 08-22-2004 09:41 PM

And Bush has worked an "honest day" in his life??

Man, you are a piece of work. :D

CamB 08-22-2004 09:44 PM

NZ paper just carried a Reuters article, inlcuding some of that commentary from the Chicago Tribune guy (who was identified as such). If I were him, I would have tried to keep out of it too... he made the comment 5 minutes ago and you (for one) are calling into question his character.

Kerry did release records - they just don't say what you want them to. They say something else, and that eats at you. I'm not gonna refute the other stuff, this argument is tired and old and Kerry has rebutted it before - not especially convincingly, but he has.

Mulholland 08-22-2004 09:46 PM

Dude, the guy married a librarian...turned a baseball team around, turned an economy around and is currently beating the crap out of towel-headed terrorists.

No he didn't Cam...Do your homework before spouting off.

CamB 08-22-2004 09:58 PM

The economy isn't definitely turned around - it is matter for debate. This is racist --> "towel-headed".

Kerry released records. They show he got the medals. See:

You are going to a pattern liar's website for confirmation?...These are not his records you sucker.

towel-head lover

CamB 08-22-2004 10:10 PM

Errr, whose records are they then?

I'm actually a "no-one hater"

fintstone 08-22-2004 10:26 PM

It is strange that Kerry refuses to release all his records as Bush did. He has only released a small sample. Perhaps it is because there are some screwy things that he does not want us to see. For instance..why are ther 3 different silver star citations (the last dated 1986), each written portraying Kerry more heroically than the last? Pretty fishy if you ask me.

He has omitted the following...He merely has to sign a "form 180" and be done with it...He will not because it will corroborate the Swift Boat Veterans and the truth...

1. Medical reports describing his wounds.
2. Info about who submitted him for the Purple Hearts (little hint - KERRY submitted himself)
3. Additional after-action reports.
4. ALL performance reviews by his superiors.

Boston Globe, 6/16/2003: ........"I didn't really want to get involved in the war," Kerry said in a little-noticed contribution to a book of Vietnam reminiscences published in 1986. "When I signed up for the swift boats, they had very little to do with the war. They were engaged in coastal patrolling and that's what I thought I was going to be doing.

So it appears Kerry had no intention of battle...In fact he took the pussy way out by his own admission.

CamB 08-22-2004 10:44 PM

Ah come on - Bush's records which could be "found" are hardly equivocal in proving his whereabouts. They both guilty of dodging the question, IMO.

No. It is a big difference. Bush signed to release any and all records that exist regarding his service. Kerry picked some that were favorable to him and released them. Big difference.

CamB 08-22-2004 11:15 PM

Fine - Kerry should release all his records. I cry UNCLE ;)

fintstone 08-22-2004 11:23 PM

Thanks Cam. What do you think of the 2 different versions of his silver star citation on the link you posted (click on siver star and view page 1 and 2)...pretty fishy to be "doctoring" his military records almost 20 years later. looks like a smoking gun to me. Gee, it must be nice to be a congressman. I wonder what else has been changed/fabricated.
