Astounding.
I don't think he was equating the two at all. It seems very clear to me he was pointing out that it's seemingly acceptable to many on this site to frequently ridicule Christians as a group, but not acceptable to do the same with other groups.

Hardly astounding... to me at least.

I will admit that do rather enjoying giving Christians a bit of grief.

It just seems like when Christians organize non religious activities around their faith.......it just seems a bit off.

If your going to be a fisherman of men, you can't just hang out with other fisherman. You got to go to sea and fish.

Does that make sense?

I also don't like you guys implying that I would treat this differently if this club were exclusively for african americans. Nope. Equal opportunity offender here. So when some black lesbian jews announce BLWABABJCWP (Black Lesbians With Absolutely Big Ass Bootys Jewish Chicks With Porsches), I assure you will give them grief to.

They're supposed to endure trials and tribulations in this life anyhow. The way I see it, someone has to do it. We are all doing them a favour - without us they won't get into heaven!

Count me in to the BLWABABJCWP!

Yeah, actually, it does. It's really profound, and much simpler than the method I used to try to explain it to someone just Sunday.

Christians are instructed to go out and spread the Word. If a person only hangs around other Christians then he is not glorifying God. If this club were only in a small area, then it would not serve the goal I have. My (His?) idea for this is to build confidence in others of similar belief to go out and be themselves in the world. I had noticed many (maybe most) Christians on this and similar boards remain quiet for fear of retaliation. I would like to see all Christians use this retaliation and grief as a stepping stone and as a way to show what we believe.

Thank you for pointing this out.

We're also supposed to fellowship with other Christians.

There's a difference between fellowship and evangelizing.

There could be a lawsuit if the original owners of CISCO were Jewish. May not want there company name being tarnished with the christian faith. Im not either, so dont flame me just a thought.

While acknowledging that it's totally irreverent, I can't help but laughing. That's awesome.
