We treat it as it is, and are treating you right now as you deserve. You yourself said that if you did this at a swap meet that you would be beaten. Well, you asked for it, continue to ask for it and its happening... JoeA

this reminds me of "lord of the flies"
when i find a hobby that i like, i tend to jump in blind. in the beginning i did this with 911's. i had a 75 car with an early carrera tail (?) from the factory. my stepdad bought it back in 75 and porsche installed it. i still have the receipt. i still know relatively little about our cars compared to most of you guys. i find myself dependent on this forum and your advice more times than i would like. well anyways, i guess i have different taste than my stepdad, because i thought that huge tail looked strange on my narrow body targa, so i decided to sell it. i offered it first to cantdrv55, i let him name the price because i didnt know. turned out he didnt want it, but in my mind i was ok with $250 to 300. i was just about to offer it up on pelican, but a friend told me i was insane. apparently it is worth more. he saved me more than money, he save me some (let's call it) face. me and chris just met each other, i think he would have bought it if he thought it looked good on his car. to this day, i still shop at the friend's shop...partsheaven. personally, i dont care if you guys dont get along. but i have been on both sides of the arguement. and both souk and shaun as helped me along in my 911 adventures.

What I said was, I didn't pursue it. Just because it wasn't in the thread doesn't mean I wasn't interested in the wheels, I think it was, (quite a while back). My point is, ...aww nevermind. I think there are plenty of examples where you presented your opinions on prices where they weren't asked for. That's where all this comes from...

my first post was benign at best until souk posted his response. At a swap meet, Joe, we'd have words, beaten would be something we'd have to discuss. Here in a community, I've got to say I'm surprised. And I don't feel beaten at all. It's really nice to have the highground on this one. I've admitted many times in OT when I've been wrong. This Joe, is not one of them. Joe, as I see it, you are on the side that it's OK for someone with knowledge to take advantage of someone without it, throwing caution to the wind in terms of reperussions. I am on hte side that this is a community, and as such we look out for each other, especially the inexperienced and ill-informed. I feel pretty comfortable over here. I wish you'd join me.

Shaun, you keep saying that you're on the side that just wants to help everyone, you don't want anyone to get screwed, yadda yadda yadda...
and everyone is replying that they don't want you to get involved. Just take a step back and see how the rest of us, who don't hang out in the 911 classified forum is seeing this.

First there were claims that I've wronged people, screwed them over. I asked that they be presented. None have been. Now there are claims where I've, on many occasions, posted my opinion on value where it was not asked for. I've posted an occasion where it was asked for, and the ensuing debate. Guys, I've yet to see ANY hard evidence on the charges being brought. I'll own up to them. You've seen me admit mistakes here on OT time and again. Bottom line is if you are going to make accusations about a man's character, have the balls to back it up.

I've bought and sold a ton of stuff on Classifieds. and I've got happy customers to those I've sold to. When will those details be brought in the light of day on all the people I've screwed? Bryan, OT is something completely different. The commonality is Left and Right and "just stuff" that's cool. In the tech and classifieds, it's all about guys helping guys. if you don't understand that because you aren't part of it, back off, that's all I'm saying.

On my dealings, here are two examples from the sticky Official Positive Feedback Thread. If you want me to go into email, I'll do that too.
Jandrews 7-5-2005 Traded for some Guards Red power mirrors with Shaun 84 Targa. The mirrors exceeded my expecation as far as condition goes, and Shaun voluntarily accepted a significantly better deal than we originally agreed to! It doesn't get any better than that! All the best to Shaun 84 Targa! Zeke 1-18-2005 While I'm at it, Shaun84Targa has sent me things for nothing. And Jamie Novak (jpnovak) has sent me more than I asked for on an a-arm deal and then turned around and sent me some fender bolts for nothing. Shaun offered to send some too. While, I've sent off a few things for nothing, I really get tickled when someone does that for me. Both these guys are 1st class!

Souk, I've said it before, you are an asset to the tech forum. Parts, clearly no. this post, there are many who don't understand what you've done or why and are shaking their heads thinking you are better than this. Want to confirm this? Don't ask your friends, they'll tell you what you want to hear. Ask your customers, the ones who are merely acquaintances. These are the people emailing/PMing me about this thread. Honestly, this is the best way you can hurt your business. Whether you are right or wrong, people see that you are angry and vengeful and people don't want to do business with people like that. Me? Not a whole lot of boutique owners reading this thread. if you aren't going to post specifics of my screwing over people, you really should apologize and move on. As I said before, I don't carry grudges. Count to 10 before replying.

Did you see my other post? I received an email from a personal friend of yours wanting to know how badly I wronged for you to be in the game.
